They may be right at least where they are concerned. MS is clearly moving away from traditional consoles and to a place where you will be able to play games on most devices especially Win 10 devices, and pcs, where gping for ward all your games wor from generation to generation. The writing is on the wall and clear as a bell to me. Even Nintendo's new console if the rumors are true is some portable hybrid, and not a traditional console.

Misled is a strong word to use. I thought the devs were clear what type of game this was, and its features. After hearing that and watching some vids I knew the game was not for me. I just think some gamers heard what they wanted to hear.
I agree, I am also using a 1TB SSHD in my PS4. I don't buy many games for that so that is enough space for that console at the moment.
I am using g a 5TB external in my 1S. No need to replace. The largest 2.5 drive I have for my PS4 is 1TB.
I have the 1S, and using a 5TB external as my games take up 3 TB so for many even 2TB internal is not large enough.
I know the 500 GB and 1 TB models are coming, but not sure what MS has in store for a 2 TB model in the future.
I think it(2TB) was only used for limited edition and the standard models are the 500GB and 1 TB. External seems to be the best way to go

Um, no, it can't pull a Doom. Doom is on multiple platforms, and looking at NMS there is noway this game has the appeal to the masses like Doom.

Timing seems perfect to me. I laugh everytime someone says the S is what the orig should have been, which is hilarious. It was not possible back when the console launched, MS's Xbox team had a different mindset, hell many are not even part of the new team, and the S is progression forward for MS.

PS4 is already slim
I am fine with digital. Mostly all my PS4 X1 games are digital, ubless I buy from Gamefly.
I don't buy games to trade in or share with others, I did not know 40 year old plus gamers like myself even did that anymore, and digital removes the hassle of messing with discs.
I own every console since the Nes so I have hundreds of physical games over the years, so having my games in one central area in the digital form, I am fine with that, at this sTage...
The answer is simple. I have owned an X1 since launch day, picked up an S 2 days ago, and I love it.
Not only do my games load faster, which are on a 5TB external HDD drive, but they perform better, console looks better, uses less power, power brick inside, the games required no redownload, just plugged the HDD in they worked like the original, so I am very happy with the improvements and I am also getting the Scorpio, which does not come out for another year plus. I got an X1 orig, the 1S is exactly what I wanted
I picked up my 1S yesterday and love it. Will give the orig to my daughter. I love it. Loads games faster, looks great, smoother performance.
