"you guys can label me a MS fan boy all you want but I spend a ton of money on my gaming habit an my PS3 just haven't showed me why it deserves more money over my 360!!"
To each their own. I have both a 360 and PS3 as well, and I'm the exact opposite of you. I have 31 games for my PS3, and 3 for my 360. It all boils down to preference.
But you can bet that I'm enjoying the hell out of the best that both consoles have to offer! ;-)

Sony should consider making a PSP2. I would like to see the following in the next PSP:
1. Second analog stick. FPS games suck on the PSP, which is a shame since it can handle them graphically.
2. Multi-touch touchscreen. Allow for PSN touchscreen casual games (MegaTouch style games on the PSP ;-).
3. Either stick with UMD, but with a MUCH better UMD drive (maybe mini Blu-Ray in a UMD casing, but with FAST seek times)... Or ditch it all together an...
"I don't use WIFI because the bandwidth is lower"
Dude, don't even try to go there. Your Internet connection, under the BEST of conditions is 50MBit downstream and 10MBit upstream (Verizon FiOS Extreme). 802.11g WiFi is up to 54MBit. The ethernet port on the back of your 360 is 100MBit.
Now considering that you can game off of a moderate DSL connection (1.5MBit downstream, 384KBit upstream), how is it that WiFi doesn't have the bandwidth for online gamin...
I ran into some issues with the hard drive mounting screws as well (semi-stripped one of them on the first attempt). I found that just pressing down on the screw while gently breaking it loose took care of the issue. Along with the correct size phillips screwdriver for the job. =)
It almost felt like the hard drive mounting screws had Loc-Tite on them...
But yeah... Unless you're completely impatient and unwilling to take your time, then upgrading the drive on a ...
The same could be said about the US. I work in the IT industry, and have been working in Philadelphia for the last few years. I just moved back to Charlotte, and I'm finding it near impossible to find a job in Charlotte paying what I was making up in Philadelphia.
Although cost of commodities (rent, utilities, gas, car insurance, groceries, etc.) is considerably cheaper down here in Charlotte...
And you know that Microsoft will shell out extra cash to make sure that the Arcade 360 stays at $199 CAD to snap up the budget shoppers this Christmas season. Just so they can squeeze more money out of those customers later from overpriced accessories and Live subscriptions... ;-)
Sony does need to consider another price cut soon. Another $100 price drop would give a HUGE boost to PS3 console sales... The PS3 was already out-selling the 360 before Microsoft's last price drop,...
"ahwww well don't worry too much kids she's not marriage material anyway. Old micro is just having a lil fun."
Sad but true... SquareEnix is just a shadow of what SquareSoft used to be. They lost me after the whole FF X-2 deception... FF XII looked OK, but just didn't have the feel of the classic FF games...
Although they have been kicking a$$ on the handhelds... The classic FF remakes on the DS were great, and FF VII: Crisis Core was damn good...
...
"my advice: take the Final fantasy exclusitivity on PS3 with a grain of salt."
Sadly, I must agree...
I hope FF XIII Versus stays PS3 exclusive. Exclusive titles tend to actually take full advantage of the hardware, cross-platform games seldom do.
Well, Sony was able to pull off near-PS2 graphics with the PSP when it launched in '05 (in the USA). It would be absolutely amazing if they could pull off a 720p display and near-PS3 graphics out of the PSP2.
Hopefully Sony will design in some sweet interactivity between the PS3 and the PSP2... :-)
While not all games will be able to do 1080p on the PS3, there is still a wide variety of games that do display in 1080p.
Games like racing games and fighting games will be easy to pull off 1080p with. Midnight Club: Los Angeles and Tekken 5: Dark Resurrection look great in 1080p.
If Killzone 2 is only in 720p native, but pulls off the graphics, physics, and gameplay that all of the previews and beta impressions have been talking about, then who cares.

"I know people who can't tell the difference between SD and HD"
You're kidding, right?
It still accomplishes the goal of getting people to buy/rent more games.
I'm glad to hear that Sony is at least trying to make trophies/PSN level mean more than just bragging rights.
I'll be in the central plaza tonight to see what all of the commotion is about... =)
"And if I remember correctly, before trophies came out, Achievements and anything like it was stupid."
I will admit that I was that way... And I will admit that I feel oh-so-dirty while trophy whoring it up... I guess it's something that grows on you, whether it's achievements or trophies.
Now I no longer give my 360 owning buddies for achievement whoring, and catch hell for trophy whoring... c'est la guerre... =)
"If Sony pull out of the game industry.. we might as well stop playing games on consoles.. since Microsoft would just complete against the wii and make stupid casual games."
AMEN TO THAT!!! The day that video games go 100% casual is the day that I put down the controller for good.
I was afraid that Microsoft entering the console market was the evil empire attacking another front, but ended up seeing Nintendo "casualize" the gaming industry this g...
Ok, let's go with a better analogy... (you have nearly a 10:1 cost difference between the Ferrari 599 GTB and the Ford Focus, with only a 2:1 price difference between the 80GB PS3 and the Arcade 360)
Let's say that the 360 Arcade is like the Mazda 3i coupe, and the 80GB PS3 is like the Volvo S40.
The Mazda 3i is considerably cheaper than the Volvo S40, yet you have to add options to get it with everything the S40 comes with stock.
Once you pile all of t...
While I do agree that the PS3 does need a price cut soon, I highly doubt the lack of doing a price cut would put Sony in a place where "they pretty much surrender the race."
If price was so crucial, then why is the 360 not out-selling the Wii everywhere? The Arcade 360 is $50 cheaper than the Wii, and the Pro is only $50 more than the Wii.
Besides, a $299.99 80GB PS3 would do some serious damage to Microsoft's install base lead. Same price as a 360 Pro wi...
OHHHHH yeah.... :-)
2009 is shaping up to be a monstrous year for the PS3!!
"RESISTANCE 2 graphics is SICK...."
The graphics on Resistance 2 are good, but not ground-breaking in any way... The online modes are what makes Resistance 2 amazing (8 player Co-Op, up to 30 on 30 competitive).
2009 does look very promising for the PS3. Just like the PS2, it's really hitting its stride in the second year, with even more gaming goodness to come.
Yikes... I had a Linksys WRT54GS v2 that was nothing but trouble... It bricked itself after only a year (tried applying the latest firmware update to hopefully take care of some XBL/PSN issues I was having, and it just never came back...)
I ended up picking up a D-Link DIR615 router, and other than having to do one little tweak to get 802.11n working with my Mac, it was flawless out of the box.
I was able to play on PSN/XBL over wireless with NO issues (where if I ...
Keep in mind that while removing the EE and GS hardware from the PS3 did help Sony to cut costs, I still don't see how they could have launched at $400.
The Blu-Ray laser diode issue @ launch was enough to keep that from happening (~$100 for the Blu-Ray diode at launch, compared to ~$20 currently), along with the die shrink (helped to increase yield on the Cell and drop the power and cooling requirements, which contributed to manufacturing cost drops.)
Also, emulatio...
