if it had a pvr and or was in hd then it might be worth it, but just streaming live sdtv, when you can get that anyway, any cable company you subscribe to will give you a box to get all their content, in better quality too i'll bet.
but then this is likely to be another america only thing so i don't know why i'm even bothered.
sounds like it could be good..
there have been games where you got to play kirk and spock though, like the 25th anniversary adventure game.
looks shit, end of story.
most of the kinect stuff i've seen, is pretty pointles, if you can do the same thing with a button press that you have to lean in and wave your arm about for, then i'd rather just press the button.
now the voice control stuff sounds pretty good, but will they, as i suspect, limit that to those with kinect or will anybody with a headset, or any other mike, be able to use it?
have they said if it requires kinect or if kinect is just an option?
because it would suck if they have restricted it to kinect.
i would seriously consider getting the game if it can be played with a pad.
but if they use it as a tool to sell kinect though.
finally, after nearly 3 and a half minutes he bounces the ball off somebody's head, that's what i was waiting to see throughout the entire video.
he didn't like when he did it with the oil barrel though. ^_^
trials was a fun game, but for the sequel they need to provide a way to distribute the user created levels, some central point where all the levels are hosted and anybody can access them, instead of having to connect to the level creator while they're playing the game.
that was the biggest problem i had with the original, fix that and they're on to a winner.
bloodforge i know next to nothing about so it could be good, or it could be awful.
<...
that's the problem i see with head tracking, you can turn your head and the game will track that, but the screen stays in the same place.
turning your head and then having to look out the corner of your eye at the screen takes you out of the game rather than immersing you further.
it seems like a good feature, the squad commands anyway, the conversation bit just seems pointless and tacked on.
but why do you need kinect?
why doesn't it work with any mike?
like the one in the headset many xbox owners already own.
this still looks more like a single player game to me, and i'm not gonna pay a sub for a single player game.
it's funny, when i see the director of a racing game saying racing is the least important part of the game, i find myself concerned.
the core gameplay of your game should be the top priority, all the rest should be built on top of that.
is it a racing game that features car customisation and sharing, or a car customisation and showing off game that happens to feature racing?
is it about just making the cars look nice or making them drive better? ...
the designer of this game clearly has a serious arse fetish.
i thought chun li had thick thighs, she's like a frikking stick insect next to these women.
i think the artist also has only a basic grasp of human anatomy.
and what is with the tiny heads?
especially the amazon, it's like that bit at the end of beetlejuice.
it's the new genre i've dubbed the wave-em-up. ^_^
the one thing i want most from this game is that i decide how high i can level, not the game setting some arbitrary limits.
so if i find the enemies or bosses too hard i can go off and do some grinding to level past them.
that is supposed to be one of the key gameplay features of an rpg after all, putting in the time and effort to make your characters stronger.
so it's on live as well now, that explains why they delayed it for months even though the downtime they said was the reason was over before they were due to launch anyway.
it's not that they're releasing it that annoys me, that's a good thing, if the game's good it deserves to get the biggest audience it can, what bothers me is they seem to be delaying the ps3 version because of it and lying about the reason for the delay.
could the ps3 and pc versions not include this functionality as as well?
you don't actually need kinect for voice commands, any mike should work.
hell i've played xbox 1 and ps2 games that included voice commands.
was the library in the first game? because that level was awful.
the same environment repeated several times, while killing wave after endless wave of flood.
horrible, just horrible.
the game was bloody awesome other than that abomination.
they need to fix that level.
i'll give you a summary of the stuff you really want to know about.
MW3, cool.
tomb raider, very cool.
youtube, cool.
halo hd, awesome.
an hour of crap.
halo 4, hell yeah. :)
but it's a year and a half away. :(
and a footnote, peter molyneux has lost the plot.
another america only service i'll wager.
surely if lucas wants a great lightsaber game, either the wii with motion plus or ps3 with move would be ideal, surely a lightsaber game is one instance where having the controller in your hand is a definite advantage, not only for the feel but for the accuracy.
i bet with kinect you can't do that little move obi wan does with the light saber when he spins it round before going into a fight.
not sure if i described it correctly so i found this, the first move in t...
