I would love a good Iron Man video game... and although I like the visuals so far, this one doesn't look good as far as the gameplay so far.
I played the demo and I'm definitely looking forward to the game. It's not AAA or anything but it will likely score anywhere from 7-8.5 on Gamespot and IGN. These are the first previewers I've read that don't like it... By the way, Gamespot previewed the import 2 weeks ago and they LOVED it ;-)
That's going to be interesting... b/c there isn't really any 'combat' that we've seen. However, these devs have done everything right to impress me so far so I have no doubts this will come together nicely as well.
But I would have likely played the game purely for the puzzles anyway ;-)
Looks awesome... finally starting to see more games that look more next gen in scale & presentation. The gameplay is definitely the best I've ever seen from a dragon themed game. I will definitely be buying this game.

MGS2 was my favorite one so far! I wouldn't mind getting to play as both Raiden and Snake again!
I'll have to watch more vids or wait for reviews. I always love Madden but I was pretty dissapointed with last years overall. Don't get me wrong, still played the mess out of it... but it really wasn't a major improvement over Madden 06 (even with the leap to next gen). My major grip with 07 was the gimped Franchise mode.
I'll probably buy 08 just b/c I sold 07 and will need a new football game to play though.
If his attention was to convince me that I'll like this game even less than the first one, he has succeeded wonderfully.
Really not trying to bash the game or the dev, but this is just one game that I have absolutely no interest in. Don't even think I'd rent it. The only other game like that so far this gen is Too Human. All of the other 'major' titles announced for any of the systems would at LEAST be worth a rent. (major meaning lol @ wii's party games)
Unless they are moving the game to release earlier than Nov, I doubt we get the demo before Sept guys. Lair on the other hand should be out within the next few weeks. But I expect to be playing it before it comes out... a few weeks back the devs said they were focusing on the final game so the demo might not arrive until post-release of the game.
Actually, they aren't losing an additional $100. They'd been saving $100 in costs since around May... that's when the first drop in cost for blu ray components was announced. Standalone blu rays also fell in price around June.
Naw, most ppl just hope that breaking even will lead to a further price cut and Sony continuing to take losses.I don't think the price is going to drop any further until the cost of productions falls BELOW the retail price. I do believe that they will continue to agressively drop the price until they find that sweet spot though.
The 360 price cut won't be more than $50... it's not going to be significant enough to really mean anything to consumers. Especially not the ones that aren't 'turned on' by the type of games that come out on the 360.
On the other hand, we've already seen how effective the $499 price point is for Sony. And it'll be even more so this holiday with the stellar library of games the system will have by then. Sure, another price cut would help... but it won't be neccessary for them t...
Yea, this is going to be an awesome game. There are so many of them coming this fall & winter.
This isn't on my Most Anticipated list... and I'll probably be getting some of the multiplats coming out before I get it... but I am definetely interested in this one and will be buying it.
I live on the east coast too and used to usually see the updates by 3 pm est. I work in the evenings now though so I just always d/l them whenever I get home... looks like I won't be coming to work this Friday :-)
Do you remember it hurting when you were dropped on your head as a child? Splinter Cell can't even pee in the same pool as MGS4... graphically or gameplay wise. Textures, colors, character models... everything about this game looked head & shoulders above anything we've seen so far.

August and September should look pretty good for Sony w/ Lair, HS, & Warhawk.
The game looks so good my monitor had multiple orgasms while playing the vid! I'm a multiplat gamer... but no other system or game is even remotely important to me anymore... I MUST have this game!
Hmmm... I could kind of agree with you... after going HD, it's hard to watch everything else. At the same time, a lot of hardcore xbots act like they don't care about having a wide variety of HD movies available (blu ray & hd dvd really is a big deal).
When it comes to the games though, there are some classics from pretty much every gen that are always worth playing again no matter how much graphics have advanced. Hardcore gamers don't really ditch games just b/c a new gen...
I'll be picking up the version that won't be irrelevant in another year or two.... Blu Ray.
