No, Folklore is the first rpg for the system in the U.S. And all of the sites do refer to it as an action rpg. There are 3 others in Japan this Sept also.
I think we will see games like Eight Days and Afrika next month. I'll be interested in seeing what they have to announce at any rate.
I'd say GTA + Crackdown... I don't see any Assassin's Creed in the game. The idea of a Super Hero sandbox game is very intriguing though!
The game still looks pretty sucky to me! I was hoping that was b/c of their UE3 problems... but if the most recent vids our on their new engine then there's just no hope for this game :-(
You could not even play the beta if a network connection was not detected... so I would say no.

I don't think that Halo 3's graphics are last gen, but having been part of the Warhawk beta, I can definitely say that it's a game I'm looking forward to more than Halo 3. Warhawk was definitely a more addictive beta... but I wonder are there more maps or surprises that weren't included in the beta (the game is already worth purchasing as it was though!)

Lol, who cares, it's looking VERY awesome so far. GT has always been the best driving sim with or w/o damage. Plus, they said that when they do damage, it's going to be as realistic as the rest of the game... not the same damage to every car.

Actually, the PS3 has more confirmed rpg's than the 360 at the moment. The problem is that only one of them are being released outside of Japan this year. The Japanese are getting 3 of them this year that we are not. So the PS3 has a total of 4 coming out this year and a total of 7 announced so far.
But as far as PS3'ers are concerned, better to wait on them to be translated for us and get to play them than to settle for 360 rpg's. Mass Effect will be awesome. I think Eternal S...

I agree that the 360 will have a strong game lineup for the holiday. What I disagree with is that it will be any stronger than the PS3's. As most people noticed most of the great games coming to the 360 for the holiday are all multiplats. With the exception of Halo 3, Bioshock and Mass Effect, there are no other exclusives really worth getting excited about.
The PS3 on the other hand will have all the same multiplats plus Haze, UT3, Ratchet & Clank, Uncharted, Warhawk, Heav...
I feel the same. I've seen enough vids already... just want the game. Same goes for Lair for me... even though they have shown off a bit more of the game than they've shown us of HS.
Well, the difference here is that it's not speculation on whether or not they will bring a game to the PS3 or not. We know they're making something for it. There's just speculation on what it is. Personally, I don't think it's Crysis. And as much as I'd like to see it run as well on the PS3 as it does on PC, I don't think it would.

It's pretty obvious that the game is still in pre-alpha, it has at least 8 months until it goes gold. Second, Gears in 2005 was NOT the same as the final product. Lastly, KZ2 did look better. The bump mapping in Gears was the only thing which looked noticeably better. But the environment and lighting hardly had the same graphical flare as KZ2. There was also much more detail onscreen in KZ2, seems higher res also.
