Yea, the Panzer Dragoon series was pretty solid. There have been a couple of decent dragon themed games, just not many that come to mind. And certainly none that appeared to do the theme as much justice as Lair is doing. The game looks better every time I see it & the combat is what you'd think should have been in ANY game based on a dragon... glad somebody finally got it right!
So PS3'ers get TWO awesome MGS games! PS3 news just keeps getting better & better :-) I wonder will this be a PSN title or full release? And what other features we can expect to hear from it... it already sounds amazing?
This is awesome. I already own over a dozen blu rays and can't wait to start adding anime to the collection! I'll definitely be picking these up in Nov.
Is this a joke? Are they actually blaming their bad sales of a PS2 game on the launch of the PS3?!!!
Also, IF we get this in the NA store, I wouldn't expect it before Thursday anyway... y'all know how it goes.
Maaan, this demo looks even BETTER on your hdtv then it did on gametrailers... I've already watched the gametrailers vid enough times to know what he's talking about anyway, lol.
Why the hell are we waiting on this game??? What the hell can Kojima improve?!!!
One thing is for sure, it worked out in Sony's favor for this game to get pushed to Spring 08. In a time when most system's are seeing a game drought, this one will start to move systems again AFTER the hol...
Lol, this game looks so good that my monitor had an orgasm while playing the vid!
As crunk as I was for Killzone 2, there's no way I'll be able to play it if it comes out around the same time as MGS4!
Yea, the rocket blast screenshot was the only one from the 2005 trailer that I liked better though.
In general, the cutscene from 2005 did still look more polished. But the actual gameplay shots from E3 07 was drastically better to me. There's no question that I will be purchasing this game... and the chaotic battlefield in the early parts lead me to believe that the gameplay will be AT LEAST as impressive as Resistance.
The only question to me is whether the g...
Yea, I'm really interested in Lost Odyssey but I'm really not looking forward to this game at all. The game looks kind of bland to me & I don't like the art style. I don't mind the traditional gameplay but nothing about the game really seems engaging :-(
Did you guys read the entire article? From the sound of it (and the etimated release date), this is going to be a completely separate game!!! There was a lot of guessing as to whether or not it is running on the same engine and they end the article by saying they wouldn't mind this coming before MGS4!
Kojima's website says the gameplay vids don't arrive until the 25th. IGN might have posted them too early.
Yea well that's already been done before too... nothing new there.
Then you should just go ahead and quit playing video games. Because there is no such thing as a video game doing something 'new' with the story in ANY genre. Even most movies follow a familiar formula. The point is seeing the creative presentation with which it is told and the unique twists that the storyteller has to add to THEIR story.
Aside from that, if you've seen the gameplay vids of this game then you would know that it is unlike ANY rpg to come before it. It has a very ...
Lol, hell yea you're the only one. This game looks amazing. And for people that keep making ps2 comments about ps3 games... you all must have quit playing your ps2's for so long you forgot what the games look like. NO part of this trailer looked like it could be run on a PS2. In fact, the in engine sequences look as good as the CGI looked on the PS2!
The most interesting thing about the screens is the caption before you view them... it states that Metal Gear Online will be the perfect companion to MGS4... almost as if it's a separate game? Or maybe it'll just be an option within the MGS4 game. Either way, looks dope and I can't wait to try it.
I would be in nirvana if we got both demo's in one week. Those are two of my most anticipated games! I don't think R&C will see a demo this early though.
If you read the entire article, one of the developers was for a major publisher that admitted they had problems with the UE3 engine but had enough of their own resources to do the extra coding themselves... that developer was probably Ubisoft.
As for Too Human... the game looked decent graphically but never had the 'wow' effect. And the gameplay has always looked pretty boring since it was first shown... maybe b/c they haven't been able to get as much going onscreen as they wa...
I was thinking the same thing. But from the demonstrations, it always looked pretty smooth to me... glad they're further refining it though I guess.
Exactly, I already own around 20 blu rays & over 300 dvd's... ppl that value entertainment will not be satisfied with having to download their movies to a hard drive and managing hard drive space. I want to be able to pop in a disc anytime w/o a limit on how many times the movie can be watched or taking up space on my hard drive.
As I said before, Pay Per View, On Demand, and Tivo have not slowed down dvd sales after years on the market. They definitely provide a service t...
I think Sony would be smart to do so but I don't think they plan to keep two sku's on the market still. I think it would be smart... and it's interesting to hear that Microsoft is actually thinking about this strategy... b/c it means they must be planning something as well. But I think that Sony's sales would see a significant turnaround continuing post holiday if they did this... they're going to be okay for the holiday regardless.
