If you take the time to look at the main story... they actually have 4 new PS3 exclusives at the link. Three of them are RPG's and one is a popular anime racing title. Then they also have some other multiplat games.
@1.1, you may be right about Vampire Rain although I've definitely not heard anything about the game on either system yet. But they still had 4 new PS3 exclusives listed too... maybe he was refering to one of those and not just the first game on the list.
The Japanese have an entirely different fall/winter lineup of games! And I want some of them! Even though we can play Japanese games on our PS3's, the games I want are all rpg's & would probably be tough to get through w/o...
Yea, one preview site described it as Final Fantasy meets Pokemon, lol. While the character design is obviously nothing similar to either series... that description does fit it kind of well once you start playing, except that it's real time action instead of turn based. It's very fun.
I probably wouldn't buy another one after DW6 comes out... but I would be down to buy a next gen version of the game if it included some beefed up graphics. Don't see them being able to do too much to differentiate the gameplay of this one from previous ones though.
I didn't really expect that much from this game from watching the vids... but after playing the Japanese demo, I was instanly sold! If you've been a long time playstation fan, then this is one of those games that you're almost certain to love. It has a very unique style, the presentation is gorgeous, & the gameplay is easy to get into but still feels very fresh without being repetitive.
The problem with all of your comments is that the PS3 has been picking UP in sales in Japan over the last month, where as the 360 has been dropping further.
Also, in regards to developer support. There have been more devs making announcenments for the PS3 in the last months too... particular Japanese developers. They're getting 3 rpg's this year that we aren't getting outside of Japan. So all of your doom & gloom prophicies are really moot.

For one, these aren't screens from the PS3 game. Number two, the art style uses sprites, there are no textures you idiot... it's animation.
Virtua Fighter always has been and always will be among the best fighting series available. Yes, I agree that Tekken & Soul Caliber are excellent games too, but VF offers a decidedly unique and more realistic fighting experience.
Outside of that one series though, I do agree that Sega has been lacking in the game's department. Hopefully they step it up.
You won't be able to import... this is supposed to be a PSN release, it's not the full GT5 game. And if they charge for it, we won't be able to download it using our Japanese accounts :-( But I don't think that a North American release would be too far behind.
This is looking like it'll be the first great next gen platformer. I'm normally not big into platformers but I do like Ratchet and the Jak & Dexter series... awesome games. And this one looks like it's sure to please as well.

Yea, there has been little dispute that Sony 'won' this year's E3. There were very little surprises from either camp, but Sony definitely had the biggest ones.
And there were some good game's in Microsoft's exclusive lineup but I think that Sony is doing a better job in this area as well.

Guys, the article was posted on July 13 but it was likely done before then... that's how it normally works. The demo he was referring to is likely the one that was shown to the press for E3. We won't be seeing a demo of Killzone this early before its release.
Actually, why don't you check out a Ratchet & Clank or Uncharted or Heavenly Sword vid and see what colors are all about... Don't come here with that ignorant crap. It's called game design and every game is not designed to be a colorful la la land. The colors in the game are PERFECT for the atmosphere they're casting and there has NEVER been better lighting cast for an atmosphere in a game before this. Killzone 2 is already looking more impressive than Gears. You guys just can't give it up can you?! Besides that, UT3 is looking a HELLA lot better than Gears, and guess what... that's PS3 exclusive too ;-p. Just get over it, the PS3 is getting a real gangsta line up while the 360 gets left behind.
Those were gameplay graphics in the trailer as well... that's why your argument doesn't make sense. Everything after their landing was actual gameplay. And the graphics are just as crisp in this trailer, just needs more work on the textures. If you take time to notice the details though, you'll see how slick the game is. Look at the character's hands in this vid... lots of detail. And the explosions were pretty awesome too.
Sony came out of E3 the talk of the town. They've convinced a lot of people that were on the fence that they really are about creating awesome game experiences.
The only system that I wasn't that impressed with by the end of E3 is the Wii. I really do wonder how long its sales will stay up... but then again, I think they are really drawing in the non-traditional gamers which is cool. And I did like what I saw of MP.

But honestly, I think that KZ2 is a game that will make ANY PS3 owner proud (assuming of course that they're a fan of the genre). But there are so many games coming before KZ that I can't wait to get my hands on. Lair, Heavenly Sword, Warhawk, Uncharted, Haze, UT3, & Ratchet & Clank are all MUST haves for me!

I don't think we'll be getting a Lair demo this month. The devs said it might be post launch of the game... and I don't mind, I just want them to concentrate on getting the finished game out.
But this is great news for HS! Hopefully we get the demo in the US store too... so I don't have to create yet another account :-)
I don't think it's as bad a move as everyone makes it out to be. I think we'll see the real backlash around Oct when the 80GB is offered WITHOUT the bundle and is priced @ $499 or less... than those that rushed out for the 60GB will be a little pissed... Of course, they are at least getting the best backwards compatibility by buying the 60 gig.
But the main thing to keep in mind is that Sony is not doing the same thing it did at launch. The $599 sku is not for the console... it...
