FYI... Qore is not published by Sony. It is an online magazine published by Future Publications, the same company that puts out the Playstation and Xbox magazines.
The IGN review on the Xbox version points this out and gives the 360 version a 7.5 on graphics and the PS3 an 8.0 on graphics. Yet, they both get an overall of 7.3.... interesting!
"boom blox without the remote doesn't quite have the same allure"
Well, hopefully they can use the sixaxis controls to implement this. It works very well on the PSN Bowling game.
Trophies were not an "overnight" development for the PS3. Obviously, they had to have been working on it for some time. In other words, coding a brand new firmware update to incorporate the trophies was not done overnight.Sony should have given all of its developers access to the code earlier so that they could have incorporated trophies in all of the games that currently don't support them. And Sony needs to be forcing developers to implement trophies just like MS does. But what ...
1997! Ha!
Tech TV was the sh!t back in the day. I still listen to all of the old tech guys (Leo Laporte, Patrick Norton, etc.) on their podcasts (TwIT)... But, back to G4. I agree that XPlay has become unwatchable... AND I have to disagree about Olivia Munn. She is no better than Kristin Holt. She has absolutely zero talent. How can someone screw up reading a teleprompter as bad as her?? Watch her eyes - she spends the entire show reading. It annoys the crap out of me. Is she hot? Sure - she is sm...

still have backward compatibility, the 80GB through emulation and the 60GB and 20GB did it with built-in Emotion chip.
Xbox has a patent on ITS OWN TECHNOLOGY for universal in-game custom soundtrack support... Sony has a different technology and implementation. You can't patent an IDEA.... It is like when Apple sued MS when Windows came out b/c it looked like Apple's desktop. Apple came out on the losing end of that battle...
But, since it appears that you are an aspring attorney (I think not), I would very much like to hear whatever other legal pearls of wisdom you have.
EDIT: ...
how long the game takes to complete?
i wonder if they have multiplayer? ;)
You are welcome! And, if you read my comment, I said "IMO"... i beleive that that translates to "in my opinion"....
from Sony's end is that its sales are being split by the PS3, PSP and PS2. While the PSP is not a "next gen" system, so to speak, it is a relatively new platform, released in the US in 2005. That being said, the 3 Sony platforms together are smashing the 360. Of course, we are only concered about the "next gen" systems here, but, it is rather interesting that the 360 only outsold the PS2 this year by 400,000 units. The other surprise is that the PSP has outsold the 360...
Any developer that doesn't go backand add trophies is crazy! I just picked up Uncharted again after having traded it in at GameStop (I know, I got ripped off!)... but, the trophies really give you a reason to play through games multiple times and pick up games that you never played. I usually play through a story once (maybe twice) and get bored with the game... not anymore! Even games that had unlockable stuff didn't keep my attention like trophies do now! I can finally understand the obses...
I had forgotten how GOOD Uncharted looks. I finished it shortly after release, played few times and didn't have any reason to pick it up before the trophies.... The attention to detail is unbelieveable - from the lush green forests, to the stone textures on the ruins, to the water effects and Drake looking wet on only the parts of his body that the water touches... BUT, beyond the graphics, I have to say the the writing and voice acting is second to none. I really believe that the writing is...
games that promote religious themes, they should go make some and market to their community. These same groups were harping on movies until the Passion of the Christ came out.
"Most gamers have indicated that they definitely do not want an artificial gateway between them and their gaming. It seems that living rooms hosting movies with your photos hanging up are for real life."
What polls have showed that "most gamers" don't want home. The hype may have died down, but from what I see on these forums and other sites, Home is still highly anticipated. It's just the author's own bias against Home.
MS is beginning to sound like that Iraqi press spokesman during the War who kept saying "the Iraqi army is destroying the Americans" as the U.S. was obliterating Iraq and entering Baghdad. It is just so disingenous. Just shut up and do your thing and at the end of the day, we'll see who is the victor. MS should just be happy that they are having a successful time with the 360 in spite of the high failure rate (RRoD) the first 2 years of the cycle.
It seems as if both MS and developers who do games exclusive to the 360 constantly bash the PS3 and Sony... You never hear Sony do the same toward the 360 or its exclusive content... For prime examples, look at the comments of Jack Tretton compared to John Schappert and Shane Kim or compare Ted Price to "Cliffy B"... it is like MS and its affiliates have no class whatsoever.
DVD invented around 1995 and it's first films were released in the US in early 1997 and yet didn't overtake VHS until mid-2003. That is nearly 6 years for it to overtake vhs even though we all know how much better and more convenient dvds were! I mean, MY FIRST DVD PLAYER WAS MY PS2!! And I'm usually an "early adopter" of technology. Early DVD players were very expensive and the DVDs were expensive. It took YEARS for Blockbuster (and other video rental stores) to begin carrying ...
