They have a few episodes of various shows to see the service and I am currently watching an episode of Parks and Recreation.... FIRST, the quality is horrible. It is supposed to be at 720p, but the picture is slightly pixelated. There is no way that I would pay $10 per month for the service as it appears right now. I have Play On and the quality is not much better on Hulu+.
Unless they are going to offer something that you can't get on regular Hulu on your PC, this is ...
I am having the most fun I've had with a Lego game since Lego Star Wars. I buy all the Lego games because my 6 year old loves them, but I am having an awesome time with this one. If you have read the books, you will love this game.
It's the most basic question; how accurate are they? We can tell you right off the bat that our experiences with the Move have thus far been flawless. It seems completely free from the clumsiness and errors that occur too regularly with the Wii Remote.
Kinect admittedly has the tougher task of tracking your entire body with no visual aids whatsoever - no pin-on lights and no handheld sensors. And we were somewhat disappointed to see that the difficulty of such a feat is e...
This has to be one of the single most uninformed posts I've seen on N4G in a long, long time. They do not "force" you to play any games in 3D. It is an OPTION.
Sony is providing OPTIONS... options to play 3D, options to use Move, options to buy PS+...
No other video game console maker offers OPTIONS:
MS FORCES you to pay for LIVE to play online and get stuff like Hulu+, Facebook, Twitter, etc...
MS Kinect game...
By the time Kinect is implemented into hardcore games (if ever), it will be too late. They will have already lost the hardcore market. When a new tech product is released, it generally sells the most volume and then levels or drops off. (with one notable exception being the Wii)
GS is full of it... they make the vast majority of their profit from used games. There is more margin because they create the margin. It is not controlled pricing like you have with new games.
Maybe it is being pushed now after the success of the Wii, but it can't be argued that Richard Marks has been working on the Move tech for about 10 years. And, the full quote from Marks is:
"There's a big, simple button under your thumb and nice analogue buttons. So those are for the casual players, but then we had the original PlayStation symbols for the core experiences," Marks continues. "It was really important that the design appeal to both. We do...
Of course Sony has control of what games get released on the PS3 and they absolutely can control shovelware. Not to say that shovelware won't exist, but Sony can certainly limit it and keep the quality of the games high -- even the casual ones.
Actually, you are allowed to share PSN games with up to 5 people. Sony has promoted that since the PS3 was released.
Kindles (I have one) are just better for reading. The e-ink is easier on the eyes and because it is so low-powered, the battery life is super-long. Plus, tried an iPad for reading a book, I think that it is just too heavy. I can sit for hours with the Kindle held in one hand. The iPad just isn't as easy to do that with. Stand-alone book readers like the Kindle, Nook and Sony e-book Reader have a place. The only thing that is needed is for the price to come down on them, and that is ...
You mean you don't have 8 feet of space to stand back from your tv in a studio apt? You should think about knocking down a wall or 2 to use the gaming revolution that is sweeping the nation! /s
Girard reckons using Move to play the game provides "the most enjoyable experience", but admits using a mouse and keyboard to interact with the PC version is "the most efficient".
Unfortunately for Xbox 360 owners, there are no plans to support Kinect. Girard said the stumbling point was having to play standing up while using Microsoft's rival motion-sensing tech.
LIVE is an system that MS requires you to purchase to play online. You do get some other services that Xbox fans tote, but bottom line is that you are PAYING TO PLAY ONLINE... This is completely different than what PSN+ offers.
PSN+ is a value-added discount program that gives its subscribers free and discounted stuff, including Qore, which on its own is $25 per year. Based upon what I've downloaded through PSN+, I've almost already gotten my money back in savings. ...
"Everything is being made by Kojima Productions staff," Kojima said. "For Rising, we've developed new technology for 'cutting anything you want,' and we're seeing how game designers will put this to use. It's a mainstream European and North American-style game. So, I feel that it doesn't matter if it lacks the message aspect of a MGS game I'd make."
Or not that surprising at all... is that Metacritic has not posted one Crackdown 2 review score yet... perhaps they are waiting to get some more positive reviews so that the score isn't in the toilet from the get go?
They charge less than retail and no tax... I purchased RDR for $55 and got a $20 credit, Lego HP for the PS3 ($46) and the DS ($28)and got back a $10 credit for each, and Tiger Woods 11 for $56 and got a $20 credit.
I think that if you are one of the initial subscribers for a year, you get 3 months free.
I agree... and it is great that Microsoft funds the development of PS3 software and then PS3 owners get the same stuff that Xbox people pay an Xbox Live Gold Membership ... Only for FREE... THANKS Microsoft!
Wasn't there just an article posted on N4G yesterday that quoted Microsoft as saying that they were skeptical as to whether consumers wanted 3D... Blu-ray all over again...
Milo’s mind will destroy us all
You know the score: one day you’ll wake up to be met only with a high-pitched whining sound, boring into your brain and making your eyes bleed. Stumbling outside into the deserted streets, you’ll look up at the sky to see the giant, projected image of a small boy from Guilford spread across the heavens. “WILL YOU HELP ME WITH MY HOMEWORK?” he’ll boom, blinking innocently as the world burns beneath him.
Made me laugh.
