According to VGChartz (which traditionally under counts PS3 sales), with virtually no advertising, Sony has managed to sell 470,000 units of Move hardware (i.e, the bundle) and if you take into account all hardware sold, "600,000 individual Move controllers have now been sold in total (bundles and stand-alone), 130,000 of which are serving as 2nd, 3rd or 4th controllers for the 470,000 unique Move customers."
To me that is pretty good! By the end of the holidays, it...
"I also think the industry is primed to shit on Move & Kinect (Move already took a beating from GI)"
That's BS... Move got a VERY positive review from GI.
You are wrong:
From Joystiq: LittleBigPlanet takes a big amount of space: up to 40GB on Blu-ray
http://www.joystiq.com/2008...
"Although Sony never introduced it as such, many assumed the Network-friendly LittleBigPlanet would be a downloadable game. That notion is impossible, it appears, as a new interview with GI.biz re...
"You have to consider that most people bought 2 because it is the best way to play sports champion"
Not true... if vgchartz is to believed, Sports Champions alone sold 250,000 units and not everyone who got Move got Sports Champions.
It is this year's Leisure Suit Larry!
This is not a Sony product. It is manufactured by a company called ICON.
This is no place for anti-semetic rhetoric. This is a gaming website, not a platform for misinformation, neo-nazi propoganda, and hate speech. It is sad that in 2010, we are still hearing such ignorant age old conspiracy bullshit. You know that the world is in bad shape when we are hearing this sort of ignorance from (I'm assuming) a relatively young person. So sad and scary.
By the way, what does the video you posted have to do with "zionists" (a term used ...
"It's not the sheer leap forward that Microsoft is attempting with the no-hands Kinect that will be released later this month, but the Move is definitely the pinnacle of motion-sensing technology."
Not out yet... demo is out.
and depending on the January release date, it is less than a 2 month delay.
I don't know why you are getting disagrees... the article is not titled correctly and is complete flamebait. The press release has to do with THIRD-PARTY CONTROLLERS ONLY. It has nothing to do with any other devices or hacking issues. Apparently, there must be some controllers that are overheating and are potentially dangerous. Sony is protecting themselves from PERSONAL INJURY lawsuits. It is similar to that problem years ago where laptop computer batteries were exploding.
...
I believe that they patched that issue.
is Pachter making a prediction about it. ;)
(A BIG IF considering the source), then I think that 100,000 units in 3 days is a pretty darn good start -- especially since Sony has done minimal advertising for Move.
I'm looking forward to an official press release from Sony on the matter.
But you are delusional.
And Halo:Reach was a bigger launch than CoD:MW and will be bigger than CoD:BO ... MS loves to talk crap.
I wonder if reviewers are going to deduct points for lack of co-op like they did with Killzone 2. /s
I'm amazed at the positive buzz that this game is getting considering how bad the first one was! It is on my radar and I'm actually looking forward to see how this game turns out!
Peter Dille - senior vice president of marketing at Sony Computer Entertainment America - said:
"I don't think we'll ever outspend Microsoft."
He didn't say "We can't compete with xbox's spending." Sony spends its money on new IPs and relies more on word of mouth and slow burn to sell its games. And it is working for them.
Total flamebait and misleading title.
"Move has had “very significant sales in the first month since launch, somewhere in the region of 1.5 million units for the new controller across just Europe,” House said. “The initial sales response has been so far in excess of our initial plan that we’ll probably be looking at accelerating production.”"
Well, so much for VGChartz and the 470,000 estimate on Move.
