It's even more ridiculous than that if you read the next part of the quote about Joy Ride:
"If you play the games out there today, they've all got what you're talking about, but the games react really well. In Joy Ride the steering is super-precise and exact"
How can there be admitted lag and yet have Joy Ride be "super-precise and exact"?? (which, by the way, seems to go against the opinion of every preview that I've read ...
"Eurogamer: What are examples of games in your line-up that have those skill-based elements that core gamers love?
Kudo Tsunoda: In Kinect Adventures they have the River Rush game, and there's hundreds of different ways you can go down each of those levels. It's a lot like a platformer game, which in general is a genre core gamers love...
Those are all your normal kind of gameplay mechanics that you see in a lot of core games. When we talk about ...
I totally agree with you. It is the same when PSN DL-only games are reviewed and given low marks for "not being deep enough" or "long enough"... Games should be reviewed with certain caveats in place by the reviewer. For a kids/casual game (as this appears to be), maybe a kid should play it and talk to the reviewer about his or her thoughts.
This is actually one of the lowest scores.

Why exactly would I get disagrees for simply quoting the article???
"Despite these minor problems, the more we played with Move the more it impressed us. The PlayStation Eye and motion controller are a killer combination for accurate and highly responsive motion-based gameplay, and we applaud Sony for getting the hardware right the first time."
I was only referring to the hardware reviews. The games reviews have been a mixed bag.
"With advanced reviews of PlayStation Move being lukewarm at best and early word of Kinect being received in the same manner, does the hardcore gamer really want this?"
I don't know what reviews they are referring to, but from what I've seen the Move hardware reviews and impressions have been excellent across the board. I don't think I've seen anything under an 8 and most have been in the 9s. And, although I don't expect much from Kinect,it has...
Did you even read the article? The response was not mediocre. It was extremely positive from all of the Gamepro editors except for one. The Move hardware has been getting 9s across the board from every gaming site. The games have been getting mixed reaction, with some sites liking them more than others. But, hardware-wise, the Move is definitely drawing critical praise from journalists who admit openly that they were skeptical initially.
I stopped reading after the first paragraph:
"Kinect requires no controller. Something that has not yet been done in the gaming industry." Ummm, ever heard of the Eyetoy or PS Eye?
"Does the Playstation Move and Wiimote have a hidden camera or something, or a hidden microphone? No. Well there you go then." Ummmm, what about the PS Eye that you need to work with Move?
I can't believe that Pachter actually got something right... Last year he actually predicted that Live would increase in price...
But, isn't this old news?
It was a joke.
I don't know about 20 years away. My guess is that the PS5/Xbox1440 will be downloadable only and that the PS4/Xbox720 will be a combination of both. So, in my estimation, we are looking at 10 to 12 years at the most, maybe sooner. It is a generational thing. Each cycle of new technology in a specific genre gets shorter and shorter. And you know that the industry is going to push for it sooner than later, as it will give them greater control over the marketplace and kill the used games...
How about "Ratchet and Clank 4 Play"?
"all flash and no substance"
Can be used to describe MS and the Xbox in general.
Wow... nice trolling. Didn't take long to lose all of the new bubbles that we got last week.
Great quote from the article:
"I'm not impressed with the technical result. But I'm impressed by the marketing efforts."
I'm level 10 and I got one.
