The TV integration would be a great value-add, but to be honest, MS has made so many mistakes since the announcement of the XB1 that it has managed to alienate many of those who would be early adopters. The PS4 will have very similar offerings on the "entertainment" front, including great things from Sony's Viacom deal.
Plus, one of the big factors against MS will be the fact that Comcast has its new X1 platform that has voice search integration as well as apps...
@n4rc
What the heck kind of logic is that? MS is being bashed left and right in the media and in game forms every day. They have been on nothing but the defensive since the XB1 announcement. Don't tell me that if XB1 had "just as many" pre-orders as PS4 that MS would be shouting it from the rooftops... They don't need to give exact numbers (Sony hasn't), but if they were even close, there would be some announcement from Major Nelson or some other MS PR...
@Raiz
Yeah, comparing it to the XB360, not with the PS4.
Just saying... ;)
Yeah, but NOTHING like the ones over the holidays. The lightning deals are crazy and most of them sell out within seconds.
Amazon is the only way to go... daily lightning deals from November through the holidays...
Even it it "underperformed" just because it doesn't appear on the NPD list, how many of those retail copies were sold on the WiiU? I would venture a guess that the delay helped sell more copies on the PS3 and XB360. Yeah, I am sure that Ubisoft is hanging their heads in shame that a small, unknown blog is saying "I told you so." Really? Think much of yourself that you had some sort of vision based upon your intimate knowledge of the gaming industry, development, ma...
Read the whole quote:
Quantic Dream, the studio behind the recently released Beyond: Two Souls, is one of the few companies willing to put a game’s narrative in front of all other aspects of the game. It’s allowed for what many people see as truly “emotional” products, but co-founder Guillaume de Fondaumière had some strong words when asked if the medium was even in the same league as Hollywood.
“Of course not. Simply because, Hollywood has been around a...
@Lalanana
One last point... Why does Penello constantly need to bring up the PS4? He needs to focus on the XB1. MS is spending too much time on damage control.
In the article, he is quoted as saying: "Lastly – Sony’s in exactly the same position, so I’m not suggesting they shouldn’t get the benefit of the doubt either. When you have stuff that works, you use it even if it’s not perfect. Right now, everyone is crunching." How does he know what &qu...
@Lalanana
Yes, "old builds" do not run as well as newer ones. But, when MS is doing a "World Tour" of the XB1 to showcase how awesome it is, you would think that they would want to show the "power" of the system and how graphically superior it is. I mean, they have been on the defensive ever since the PS4 reveal and this sort of stuff does not help. Why not show and let people play a more recent build? They must have them... I mean, the thing...
@Lukas_Japonicus
lol... grammar nazi. ;)
Thanks for the laugh!
@nunley33
"its like sending in an out of warranty ps3 now,they'll fix it but it'll cost you a flat $150"
Ummm.... has MS announced that? Who knows what MS's customer service plans are if that issue arises. The $150 fix for Sony is for pretty much anything that breaks -- it has nothing to do with the PS3 HDD. For MS to charge $150 (if that is what it ends up being) to replace broken HDD would be almost gouging.
The One Box is the 3, minimum box: External HDD, Power Brick, Cable box.
Swapping out the HDD DOES NOT void the warranty. Where do people come up with this stuff?

***SPOILER***
I get that... it came together toward the end, but some of the "jumps" just seemed a little hard to follow as to why the story moved to certain points in Jodie's life when it didn't seem it needed to. It all made sense in the end, but some of the timeline jumps created a bit of a context issue for me. That being said, once you pieced it together, the story was good.
@THeKayle1
*HEAVY SIGH*
Metacritic has the game sitting at a 73 with 81 reviews (and an 8.1 on user reviews).
That being said, most of the scores are above 75, with many in the 90s and one 100. There are a bunch below 75, but the 3 scores that are really bringing the metacritic average down are two 40s (Metro Game Central and Videogamer) and a 25 (from AusGamers). Those are COMPLETELY unwarranted scores. Their opinions? Yes, but they are ...
@black0o
I completely agree... if the system froze, they would not have been able to "go home and enter back in", they would have had to reset (turn off and on) the PS4. It sound more likely that the demo had issues.
Not to mention, I love how an article is written implying some widespread overheating issues, when out of all the articles that have been written about the PS4, there have been no such complaints. Another website fishing for hits. smh...
Really funny.
Everyone is talking about the XB1... on MSN.
RED DEAD!!!
