Perhaps a few will buy the XB1 if the PS4 is not in stock. However, the PS4 is also being restocked quickly and, for most, that $100 difference is probably worth waiting for a few days. Once we get past the holidays, sales for both systems will slow down anyway. Once we settle into the new console generation, we will really see the sales number difference between the 2 systems. I'm sure there will be an uptick in XB1 sales in March when Titanfall is released. Of course, Infamous:SS i...

My wife just made the same comment when she got a Samsung Galaxy S4 for only $24.... Amazon takes losses in order to get you into their ecosystem. Once you become an Amazon customer, it is very hard to separate from the convenience and great customer service. They used to give a lot of $10 and $20 credits when pre-ordering video games and Amazon still was not a first-stop destination. Now, you don't see that as often --usually $5.00 for a pre-order, if anything. Amazon is now a MAJOR p...

@bomboclaat_gamer

Quote from Shuhei Yoshida in an interview about it:

One of those baked-in features that did make the cut is the PlayStation’s integrated share functions. Conspicuously missing from the offerings (and also from the Xbox One profile) is YouTube. We were surprised to learn that integrating with Google’s popular video service is already prepared for implementation.

“Technically, there are no issues. It’s essentially done. The ...

MS said they are unaware of any such problems. So, the website apparently concludes that the claims are false claims. Interesting that igameresponsibly.com would be discounting claims being made by users of the console and just believing MS outright. It may be true, it may not be true, but just because MS comments, it doesn't mean that the reports f smoking XB1s are lies. If everyone recalls, MS originally denied the RROD when it was reported.

First of all, YouTube integration is coming. Second, the fact of the matter is that there is free third-party software to download Facebook videos to your PC and then upload them to YouTube. Regardless, as PeaSFor says, the XB1 only allows 5 minutes of recording? Great multimedia box! /s

How do I get a disagree on my statement? This "article" consists of nothing more than 4 one sentence paragraphs that says nothing of substance. It is an opinion piece that has no support for its premise or headline A great example of the problem with many of the blogging posts on N4G.

Absolutely. What they can probably do is prevent people from streaming live through Playroom. That is the only game right now that allows people to do what they are doing. It would be an easy fix.

Yeah, Twitch has, but this article has a totally misleading headline and says nothing about Sony pulling support for Twitch or even cite any sources. The conclusion of the article is: "could questionable streams effect the public's perception of the PS4 and lead to calls for removal of one of it’s great new features, sharing." It is a 4 paragraph opinion piece about the misuse of Twitch on the PS4 and has no information or, even a basis, for the headline it is using.

Yeah... IGN has the WORST video player.

For a technology-oriented company, IGN needs to upgrade their video player. Even their audio on podcasts is lacking. I listen to Beyond every week, and it such low quality audio more often than not. (or maybe it is just that Greg and Colin don't know how to use the equipment!).

I think that MS took away the ability to update via USB.

Well, that's 2!

Where did you find that video?

EDIT: Ignore the question... it's in the link! :)

Since Xbox is launching in more territories than the PS4 (remember the PS4 was US and Canada only), we won't have an accurate indicator until the launch of the PS4 in Europe next week.

Based upon most of the reviews out there, probably not right now. ;)

Hmmm. Sony is actually giving a $10 PSN code in each PS4 sold. There was no nonsense about having to pay the console off in advance. The PSN code was in the box (along with a month of PS+ and a month of Music Unlimited). It is more marketing for MS that is a bit of smoke and mirrors.

Please don't lump Heavenly Sword in with Ryse. Heavenly Sword is a stellar game and a major cult classic for those of us who had a PS3 in the early days. The only knock on Heavenly Sword is that it was short, but, man oh man, it was beautiful at the time and the story and game play were awesome! There is a reason that they are making a movie out of it!

I know that VG Chartz is an estimate (based on their own proprietary methods (I guess???)), but 984,212 for the PS4 is listed, when Sony has already said that they SOLD THROUGH TO CONSUMERS over a million PS4s. Sony, as a publicly-traded company, has released a specific statement of "OVER ONE MILLION PS4s SOLD IN 24 HOURS"... Not "almost one million". VG Chartz is close, but no cigar. Still impressive as those sales were only in the US and Canada!

Wow... I have been subscribing to Game Informer for about 7 years and in my experience, they are one of the most forgiving publications when it comes to reviews scores (I think mostly because of their partnership with GameStop and all of the access they get from publishers and developers). So, if GI is giving it a 6, it is likely not a very good game. But, I think most people were expecting this. Beautiful but no substance.
