PS4 already sold out at Amazon...
XB1, still available on Amazon, and has been for weeks. Didn't even sell out on Amazon leading up to Xmas. If XB1 was in such high demand, MS wouldn't be able to keep up with supply.
@BALLBAGS... read the article... Sony is going to be the console most aligned with Destiny and Watchdogs, similar to the XB360's relationship with CoD and the XB1's relationship with Titanfall, as only the first game in the series will be exclusive to MS.
"Two titles which will define what next generation gaming will look in its mature phase will be Watch Dogs and Destiny.
"These are two games we have aligned with closely and will have subst...
These comments are completely based upon the VGChartz numbers, which I know many people (including myself) take with a grain of salt.
That being said, it is interesting that the WiiU outsold the XB1 globally. Looking at the bigger picture for MS, think that the only thing keeping MS in the "game" is the U.S. The 360 continues to sell in the U.S., while it is not moving many units in the rest of the world, being outsold by the PS4 and the PS3 worldwide. In the U.S...
@mikeslemonade
Sony's goal was to sell 3 million by the end of the calendar year and 5 million PS4s by March (the end of their fiscal year). So, I disagree that "Sony, themselves, didn't even expect to sell this much."
@Dwntwn
I agree that the number of Titanfall pre-orders is greater than the number of I:SS pre-orders. But, they are not that far apart at only about 15,000 units (using VGChartz's numbers). I have no doubt that Titanfall and Halo 5 will move XB1s. But, games such as I:SS will move PS4s. And, by the way, multiplats such as Destiny and Watchdogs will sell more on the PS4 and move more PS4 hardware as those games are being associated with the PS4 (similar to COD being a...
@Bigpappy
I would agree with you that pre-orders are not necessarily accurate predictors of sales, but they are predictors of interest in a particular IP. It means that a particular game is on a persons' radar, even if it is only due to hype and the pre-order never leads to an actual sale. But, a certain percentage (I don't know the number) of pre-orders do lead to actual sales to the end user. Game companies also use pre-orders to give them indicators of how many ...
I take VG Chartz figures with a good amount of skepticism as the site uses a lot of assumptions that may or may not be supported. However, I find the pre-order numbers very interesting. The top 2 pre-order games are Watchdogs for PS4 and Destiny for PS4. Titanfall for XB1 is sitting at 4th with 160,830 pre-orders. Titanfall is being touted as the "savior" of the XB1. All of the analysts and fanboys alike say "wait for Titanfall" ... "it is the ace up Microsoft'...
LOL at the disagree... it is a fact.
Wow... XB1 has dropped to number 21 on Amazon's Top 100 Best Sellers.
If this is a single incident, how do we know if it was a "hack" into PSN or identify theft of that particular person? I've had a Macy's account stolen from me twice and a Best Buy account on another occasion.
Was it announced for the PS4? I don't remember.
Hopefully, when Gaiki launches, it will have an impact on what can be offered through PS+!
Not Zen Pinball... Pinball Arcade. Different games.
This is not "news"... the actual quote is: "I would be super-psyched IF they want to bring that game to Xbox," It is an MS employee just saying he would like it to be on XB1. The article also says that the guy wants Hello Games to "get in touch"... The title is completely misleading and should not have been approved the way it is phrased.
@KingME...
Noooo...MS said that the XB1 was "fastest selling." NPD just gave numbers showing PS4 on top. It forced MS to "spin" it. Not to say that the XB1 didn't sell well -- it did.... it's just that PS4 sold more!
They CAN'T be against fair use. Fair use is a legal exception to copyright infringement.
@cochise_313
That makes no sense at all. Walmart (as does Target) keeps its video game consoles in locked glass cabinets.
How does one incident at one Walmart all of a sudden turn into: Walmart has plenty of PS4s in the back and all you have to do is ask. smh
I expected to see something close to watchable. Instead, what I saw was cringeworthy.
I loved Rayman: Legends... especially the music levels!
