Don't be silly, that would require him to touch a PlaySta...I mean, consolewhichshallnotbenamed.
If the gameplay in TLOU is "run of the mill", then more developers need to take their asses to the mill.
Especially you, Capcom.
@JokesOnYou
To be fair, the Xbox One DRM did not disappear until after E3, and that was pretty obviously a reactive measure. I'm not sure if it's you cherry picking or the people on the forum you linked, but that focuses only on certain claims to make him look like some Sony fanboy hero or some shit. They also left out the one I feel he was most wrong about, which was that Sony would stay quiet about their DRM policies, and we all know how that went.

Every time I read something Pachter says, in my head, it plays like one of those psychic hotlines that were so big in the 90s.
Seriously, you can just imagine Miss Cleo giving us this analysis.

Wait, what?
Is this author serious, or is this a poor attempt at comedy? It's getting harder and harder to tell satire from stupidity in games writing these days. In any case, that was an absolutely terrible read.
I don't know why anyone would want a sequel to The Last Of Us so soon. Part of the reason that game was so good is that the team took their time, and really put everything they had into making a product they could be proud of. Nevermind the fact that you're going to get a much nicer game after they've had some time to really learn the hardware.
Wait, are people actually mad that Sony put out some crappy mobile games featuring PlayStation IPs? I'm not trying to be a snarky jackass, I'm legitimately curious.
I must be getting too old for this here internet. I read through the entire article, and the whole time I kept thinking to myself, "This is a satire piece...right?"
Man, people read into things way too much these days. Then again, Cory probably knew that when he made the tweet.
Touché, Mr. Barlog.
Anyone familiar with customer support in general knows that tech support is far too inconsistent to judge based on one experience.
I have had a number of encounters with Sony, Microsoft, and even Nintendo despite their products typically high reliability. With all three, I have experienced both god awful and amazing support, ranging from actually being insulted to being offered free products for my troubles after resolving the issue at hand. If you base your opinion of a comp...
Oh, I agree. I think if Nintendo plays their cards right, and are able to get at least somewhat decent third party support, the WiiU could have a nice place in the next generation of consoles.
While the new consoles will certainly impress graphics wise, I think that the current tech is substantial enough that the WiiU could manage to exist alongside them without feeling antiquated. I mean, there are games from last gen that look damn impressive to this day. I really hope Nint...
Am I the only one who finds this growing "Bitch and you shall receive" trend a little unsettling?
The WiiU isn't underrated, it's underutilized.
Despite what all the hormone hulking teens on the internet would have you believe, most people don't want the WiiU to fail any more than Nintendo does, but that's certainly not enough to get them to open up their wallets. It's actually a lot like the Vita. Potentially awesome, but mostly ignored for it's more successful brother.
One could easily argue that said "nitpicking" is a major factor in Microsoft including a damn headset at all. An argument could also be made that "nitpicking" about the early days of PSN are why Sony stepped up and made vast improvements, not to mention PS+. Sometimes incessant bitching is what it takes to get a company to listen.
Besides which, this is the internet. Things are going to be exaggerated, kids are going to attempt to rile each other up with s...
Calling the 360 controller "perfection incarnate" is pretty ridiculous. It's good, but controllers still have a long way to go.
Luckily, the next generation of consoles seem to be aware of this to some extent, so let the improvements continue.
You can pick out the terrible releases for any time of the year and make it look like an awful period for gaming.
Even so, if these are the worst games the author has ever played, he should consider himself lucky. Hell, half of these probably wouldn't even make the top 5 worst games of this generation.
The same could be said of opinion pieces, because "Chuck from Oklahoma's top 10 reasons Xbox One will win next gen" is certainly not news. Basically, I think if we're going to embrace a pure news format, there's really no reason not to go for broke. I mean, this very blog post is simply your opinion on satire pieces, but you had the decency to make it a blog post rather than a damn article, which sadly, probably would have gone through.
Having satire/opi...
In the year 3,000...
Sony and Microsoft both drop out of the console market in order to publish games for the new console king, the WiiZii.
See, predicting the future is totally awesome.
The problem with feminism in modern media, especially online, is that the shady, obnoxious, and/or ignorant crackpots take the spotlight and make respectable supporters of the cause look bad.
Think PETA but for women's rights.
The big problem with Bioshock Infinite is that it felt like it was trapped in the "Bioshock style" of gameplay, which I personally found to be an uncomfortable fit for the rest of the game. Of course, Infinite wasn't going to get that kind of budget without the Bioshock name, along with everything that comes with it.
Both games are great though, so it's a good year to be a gamer.
My guess would be a "Gold Edition" of either Forza or FIFA. Essentially, a free version without all the features, which can be upgraded to full at a discounted price.
Owners get a free game, the companies still get to make some money, and kids on the internet get something to defend and/or attack. Everyone wins.
