If you're going to pretend to be a web site people should care about, at least learn to proofread.
I love how people try to make this sort of stuff into some super personal thing. This isn't some case of teen drama. Sony didn't totally stand up Respawn for prom, and Microsoft didn't roll in with a tux and a boom box over their heads to save the day. Believe it or not, it's all business. They were looking, Sony passed, Microsoft bit. This type of thing happ...
I love how he complains about the game not being obvious enough, then argues that it's the game's fault his intuition doesn't kick in and save him from events and surprise enemies. He later makes a point that the game becomes to easy, but only because he learned to cheese the bosses. He then tries to use that as an example of the game's poor design, as if they want you to do everything by cheap exploit.
That's like boosting your levels via glitch or exploi...
It is almost as amusing as it is sad that anyone working with games in any capacity would ask such a ridiculous question as "Is this genre fun", a question obviously answered by ones own preference. They punish you for playing like a game? A game is defined by it's rules, so that's an asburd comment to make. Then again, this is followed shortly by some ignorant MGS talk and genre nitpicking.
In short, this video is a shining example of what is wrong with gam...
I know I did!
That's the part of this we should celebrating, the fact that these aren't some exclusive nonsense. If giving people early access to something can help incentivize pre-orders without screwing over everyone else, then they have definitely made the right move with this.
Titanfall is fun, but the hyperbole has been getting pretty crazy since this new beta started. All of the "so much more than a FPS" talk is a bit much. Titanfall may be a new and fairly interesting FPS, but at the end of the day, it is just another FPS. Now, I'm not saying that's a bad thing, because we all know the FPS genre could use as much new and interesting as it can get, but I think people need to work on hype management a little.
Anyone complaining about this is just being childish.
You don't have to use the items, even if you receive them, and earned items will probably outclass these ones fairly early on. One of the more ludicrous arguments I've seen so far is that this will give new players an advantage during PvP, but any Souls player knows that advantage will only be over other new players who didn't receive the items, so it's really quite ridiculous for "hardcore fans" ...
Sure, a selling point of PS Now is going to be the nostalgia factor for a lot of people, but it's far more than that. A service like this, much like the XB/PS classics each console's online stores sell, provide easy access to younger kids who may have missed these games the first time around. Sure, they could go pick up a PS2 and some games for really cheap, but most would not do that, even if the desire to play a few older games is there.
Hopefully this thing plays o...
Yeah, I guess I should have clarified that I didn't find the entire article to be a problem, just the sentiment it helps to carry in these parts. I've always liked the idea of rewarding gamers for either trophies or in-game challenges, but it's such a rare occurrence that it's hard to get your hopes up for it catching on anytime soon. I suppose it's just that much easier to simply charge for avatars or themes than include them in the game. This seems especially true when y...
Oh boy, more pissing and moaning about multiplayer trophies.
Look, I dislike trophies for online multiplayer as much as the next guy, especially when it's a grind (those kills in Resistance 2) or relies on activity (most of them). However, if trophies are so important to you, get in while the game is hot. Otherwise, relax, they aren't that important, and you can have fun without that 100% marker. The ability to earn a platinum solo is not some right to you as a gamer,...
The amount of complaining about zombie games is hilarious when you consider how many military shooters we've had this past gen.
This isn't even the sort of question that should be aimed at video games, but entertainment media in general. Even in movies, which often love to go all out with various controversial subjects, is this one used very carefully, if at all. I'm sure some weirdo can counter with a list of "Totally brutal child murders in movies!", but that doesn't change the fact that it is typically avoided or worked around in the most careful of ways.
Then you've got t...
While I'm not really a fan of the whole steampunk thing, steampunk Drake would be hilarious, and would make an excellent unlockable costume for the next game.
Expected another article where some pretentious person compares game awards to movie awards, and then spouts a list of indies that should have won instead. Got an article where some pretentious person compares game awards to movie awards, and then spouts a list of indies that should have won instead.
However, this is a good thing, because now us simple minded folks that don't understand "true art" have the voice of the all-knowing, guiding one to show us the way...
I never really thought about it, but I'm not a fan of the comparison either.
God of War is entertaining, whereas LoS was something of a slog. Hopefully the second game can pick things up a bit, otherwise it feels like a waste of the Castlevania name.
Honestly, this is a pretty lame thing of them to do. As someone who has been playing the PC version for some time now, I was hoping that the developers might come up with some creative and interesting challenges to put into the game's trophies. Systems like trophies/achievements can be a great way to expose players to ideas or play styles that they might not have discovered otherwise.
I can understand the sentiment behind the developer's thoughts on achievements in m...
My account (US) came up with a password incorrect message and it also said the date of birth was incorrect (it wasn't), so I had to call support. I got stuck on hold for about an hour, but the CS rep was surprisingly nice and helpful. While I was on hold, I started playing the new Zelda, and he instantly recognized the music when the call finally went through, so that was a fun little moment. Had a small chat about Tearaway as well while the system did it's thing.

Personally, this is about the last thing I want out of a Persona game, but it's nice to see 3DS getting some Persona love.
I caught the second half of the stream this morning, and they sure didn't hesitate to troll the hell out of everyone before finally making this announcement.
Persona 4 Dancing All Night? Come on, Atlus.
Two grown men behaving like children? Sounds like the gaming community, all right.
