Can't wait for the 2/10 Polygon review.
As others have mentioned, this is nothing new, but it's kind of scary to think that if every developer/publisher decided to, they could essentially make it as if the consoles were region locked anyway.
Ha, you could totally see that being released as an app alongside the season pass.
Man, sometimes the future is a scary thing.
The game is fun, but it's also very similar.
I kind of wish they had gone outside the box a bit more, but I guess when you're trying to fill the dying CoD void, you've got to play it safe in some areas. Definitely looking forward to the game, in any case.
I can't wait until one of these companies starts a "GET IT BEFORE THE GAME!" DLC ad campaign.
You know what's really uncomfortable? When "professionals" get involved in this console war bullshit. Playing it up at events and for major press events is one thing, but this is just awkward. Talking up your own hardware is fine, but the second you feel the need to bring up the competition, you just come off as insecure.
It's like the difference between Coke ads and Pepsi ads. Pepsi feels the need to try to diss Coke constantly, while Coke typically stays c...
The problems are annoying, but her complaints are almost as overblown as the praise IGN gave the game prior to launch.
Feels like alpha code? Not even close. Hell, the majority of the problems the game is having are based around the cloud servers it uses. Then you've got the final comment in the update, which reads like a threat not to finish the review should the character not be returned. Yeah, that's real professional. I'm all for giving Rockstar shit for not b...
It's always nice to see a company going a little further to keep consumers happy, even if it is a rare occurrence these days.
This is an oddly written article. The writer's problem is obviously with online trophies, yet he redirects the issue toward platinum trophies. The platinum is little more than a way to mark that a game's trophy list was completed. Sure, it's worth "points", but it's hardly something that should be put on a pedestal, at least no more than getting 1000 on a 360 game, or any other 100% designation. At the end of the day, an incomplete list is an incomplete list, regardl...
You took the words right out of my mouth.
I hope Sunset turns out to be great, because Insomniac have had some iffy projects in recent years, and it would be awesome to see them make a return to form. When they are at their best they make some damn fine games, so hopefully Xbox One owners will get that experience, rather than something like Fuse.
As for Ratchet, I find it hilarious that people keep trying to argue that it could end up on Xbox. Not only does Sony own the rights, but the upcoming movie shows that they ...
I love how people "point this out" at least once a month and try to act like it's some shocking thing.
Hopefully they recorded Weekend Confirmed before Yoon made this amazing discovery, so they don't go on some pretentious rant about how this is anything other than obvious business as usual.
I'd rather have a next-gen Amplitude.
I'm not going to watch this because, well, Polygon, but it's just another torture scene.
The way some people react to these in games lately (TLOU and GTAV primarily), you'd think these people never saw a movie where someone gets tortured. I guess if you've never watched an action or horror film, this might be a new thing to you, but damn people. Yes, one could argue this one is interactive (hardly), but I think TLOU proved that this isn't where the complai...
Think about this one for a minute, fanboys of the world.
Hideo "transfarring" Kojima realizes the stupidity of your life mission.
I can't wait to try this thing out. I love new designs and tech use, and there is a lot of potential here. However, when it comes to online response, holy shit, talk about double standards.
If Sony or Microsoft tried to release this thing with their next box, people would tear them apart, but because it's Valve it's "unique and innovative". I love Steam as much as the next gamer, but this hypocrisy is just astounding.
I'm about 12 hours into the PSN version and haven't had a single problem so far.
Not even the usual crazy GTA launch glitches.
Glad to see more people will have the chance to give Dragon's Dogma a shot. It's a great game that I think a lot of people may have passed over for one reason or another. The extra content is great too, and worth a download for those who only played the original release.
That being said, I'll go all selfish here and hope we get none of these in NA as I already own them all. Awesome selection, though.
As much as I love horror games that don't allow you to fight back, there is a lot to be said for including a combat system. One way to look at it is that giving a person the ability to act, but the inability to do so effectively, can add a whole new layer of fear to a horror experience.
A simple example would be a wild animal. Say you were completely incapacitated, and then thrown into a pit with a hungry lion. While there is terror in being completely helpless, there is ...
I'm fairly confident in this one simply because it's a return to the classic style that fits R&C best. Not a new game based on play styles (A4O) or some genre offshoot (FFA), but a good old fashion R&C adventure. My primary concern is the length, but they say it's much longer than QFB, so I'm hopeful.
With regards to other sites, I suspect there might be some review confusion, where many reviewers may not fully understand that this is isn't another...
