It's worse. Those avatars make it look like your playing with a kids toy and there's a huge grey half-sphere taking up half of the screen making your themes look terrible.
I'm a core gamer and can't imagine those games being entertaining for more than 5 minutes.
Both my PS3 and 360 have never shut off - but I don't play them inan enclosed cabinet. I do wish however that my old 360 had shut off when it got too hot because maybe it wouldn't have broke so many times. I'm happy my 360 S now has a shut off mechanism.
MGS4 is probably my fav game of the generation.
When I need to replace my 360 controller I may pick one up - shame they didn't make a PS3 one too, I find it's sticks could use more tension.
You've abviously never play the largly stealth aspect of the game. Try it on big boss mode and see how far you get without sneaking - MGS4 does it better than any other stealth game.

Go try the gunplay in GTA 4 and you'll eat your words because it's terrible compared to RDR. Intact RDR has some of the best gunplay I've every played because it doesn't take 6 bullets to kill someone and the realistic reactions due to the updated euphoria engine. I recently bought GTA4s DLC and was surprised at how bad the gunplay is. I'm hoping the next GTA uses learns from RDR b/c in many ways RDR is a better game (saving, regenerating health, side stuff, etc.)

Although I know PSN is exactly the same as Live for playing multiplayer in terms of lag, matchmaking and connecting speeds - Kotick is right, I'm not paying for something that works virtually perfect and is free.
I just hope it's an actual good exclusive - too human and crackdown 2, and to some extent Alan Wake have made me lose faith in any 360 exclusive besides Gears and Halo being a stellar AAA game.

From what I've seen, Infamous 2 has some of the best graphics this gen despite being an open world game.
I didn't buy it because it was a multiplayer based game with no one online. Maybe most other people feel the same - this game needed a stellar first week sales to gain momentum and cement an onlinecommunity - they should have gone the Batman AA route and released it at a discounted price for its launch week to get the ball rolling.

I think it depends on the amount of lag, sometimes games infuriate me by a quality sp game certainly is fun and relaxing.
