Watch this get approved and sent first-class airmail to the front page. If the title was "Microsoft and its false statements" (by the way, it's "its", not "it's", which means "it is"), it would be taken down after only two or three reports.

This is sad. Alan Wake was hyped up to be an epic game of epic size and scope with a huge world to explore. And of course, the huge world PLUS the great graphics is part of why people payed attention to it (much like the original Far Cry and Crysis: size + graphics).

But now we're saying goodbye to the open world. Oh well. I'm sure the media will find a way to spin this around and make it look good. I'm gonna laugh when next week we see some article titled "Uncharted 2 isn't...

Here's an idea: scrap the score system and go for a more customized approach. As in, if someone is reviewing Gears of War, the "score" might look something like this:

-Play this game if you LIKE 3rd-person action, over-the-top-violence, and Kill.switch

- Avoid this game if you HATE over-the-top violence, cheesy storylines, and short single-player campaigns

That way, the reader can read the review and the context of the review, not just a random...

What sort of BS article is this? It's definitely something I'd expect from Kotaku. Instead of paying attention to this joke, go load up PSN and XBL and see who has more "full games" available right now. Thank you.

Didn't the media bash Sony for showing plenty of "promise" with the PS3's hardware?

6104d ago 0 agree7 disagreeView comment

In-game Skype chat on the PS3 would blow XBLive's chat out of the water, because then you're not limited to the platform. You could call computers, PSPs, and of course any "regular" phone number (but that last one has a service charge).

@ Kushan and Blaze

So you're saying that in those games that use both, you want to drop your controller, do some arm flails, and then pick your controller back up again? Or maybe you'd want the game to read your facial expressions so that you have yet ANOTHER thing to keep in mind while playing video games.

Hahahaha! Quit your fragile excuses. Natal doesn't offer anything new. Anyone claiming it does is ignorant.

Double the previous pre-orders simply means twice as many suckers didn't learn their lesson from the first L4D game. No big surprise there.

6108d ago 0 agree3 disagreeView comment

So, 3/4ths of the media moans and complains and griped about the price. They say "if ONLY Sony would drop the price! If ONLY there was a price drop things would be much better!" They compare sales, show off pie charts, and say that the one thing the PS3 NEEDS is a price drop...

...and now said price drop might not even help?

The facts: in year-to-year sales, the PS3 has been keeping pace with the 360, even though it (currently) is double the price of the ch...

And anyone can also name 10 reasons why it WON'T beat waggle control.

I mean, okay, so we eliminate "teh waggle" and replace it with "teh arm flail"? Horray. I'll take "teh waggle" any day of the week since it has:

- buttons
- rumble feedback
- both motion controls and IR pointing capabilities

*sigh*

But it can't be helped. Natal is a Microsoft product, so therefore it MUST be perfect, revolutionary, an...

Oh well. It's Valve's loss.

Then again, avoiding the PS3 is a good business move on Valve's behalf, because their DLC games wrapped up and sold as $60 titles would look like rejects from EA Wii's cutting room floor compared to the PS3 games already out on the console.

Hahahhaha! I laugh at all the people who say N4G is a "pro-Sony" site. Look at how easily the other article was approved, yet this one is struggling to get a single vote and it already has 7 reports.

Please, let's put an end to this.

(though to be fair, if any company is going to be killing the other, Sony will be the one putting the bullet through Activision's eyes, not the other way around)

6109d ago 3 agree3 disagreeView comment

The posters who comment in the forums and on the articles might be "pro-Sony" but you're ignorant if you think the main news contributors (and therefore, those who decide the majority of what news passes on this site) here are "pro-Sony" as well.

All in all, Cliffy isn't that great of a designer. He's just so bombastic and the media loves to shower him with attention, so it creates the illusion that he's some sort of gaming god on par with Miyamoto, Kojima, or Will Wright.

Go wiki Cliffy B and look at that list of accomplishments if you think I'm just trolling.

Hahahahah! Didn't even give their site a click. What a funny joke.

I can't say I'm surprised that it was Bloodmask who approved this.

We have bias in newspapers. We have bias on the radio. We have bias on the TV and news-stations.

You'd have to be truly brainless to believe that the gaming media isn't also going to be biased. The American gaming media is going to be biased one way, while Japan's gaming media may be biased another way. It's a fact. Stop arguing about it. Reviews stopped being (truly) important to everyone except fanboys months ago.

Square-Enix was "on board" with Wii motion controls when the Wii first began getting popular, and look how that has turned out...

I'm still amazed at people and how quickly they changed their minds about motion controls and motion capture. Mere weeks before E3, it was still "casual", "pointless", and "not something the hardcore would play". Nowadays it seems that people would rather play Natal than actual hardcore video games. What's the wo...

Dreamcast is awesome. I'm glad I still have mind.

Though, I'm puzzled that the American media is quick to worship this console which sold barely 10 million worldwide, yet they turn around and spell doom for the PS3, which has sold more than double...

It's a wonderful time to be a handheld gamer. While the console owners argue about a few missing pixels in multiplat games, it seems that DS and PSP owners are enjoying the gamut of hardcore games, innovative games, and downright addictive games.

Graphics and speedy online gameplay is great, but handhelds offer something every gamer wants: fun gameplay.

This is an excellent game for fans of REAL fighting games that require skill and precision, not to mention that the animation is beautiful and is on-par with the likes of Marvel vs Capcom 2 and Street Fighter 3: 3rd Strike.
