Can the 360 even do 3D?

Not flaming, just asking. The hard-drive isn't standard. It has no high-def disk format. The processor is weak.

I guess it shows that 3D really must be important if Microsoft is willing to "me too!" on it. But how will it play high-def 3D content?

I've been playing MGS: Peace Walker with three of my friends and it's a blast. The local interactivity is much better than online. Even with a headset, I think that online multiplayer is inferior to in-the-same-room multiplayer. I grew up with Super Mario Bros, with Mario Kart, with Tekken, with Goldeneye 64, and no online experience has been able to match those good ol' days of multiplayer.

Microsoft does a great job of putting on a SHOW and making every single game look like it's going to be the next big thing. But at the end, they'll have shown off two exclusives and a tech demo.

Sony does a great job of developing games. They'll show off a dozen exclusives in rapid succession, but because they're not yelling into the journalists' faces "DEFINITIVE! DEFINITIVE!", at the end of the show people don't pay Sony respect.

I understand what you're saying, but...

I'd rather have Sony take risks (Blu Ray) than stay rooted in the past and claim that everything is fine.

That looks sweet. Best of both worlds (motion capture + a real controller).

And I can actually see myself playing real games with this thing. Real time strategy games, sports games, etc....much better than just tickling an Eyepet or some clone of a Wii game.

Can't wait to see more info on Dead Space 2.

The first game was very fun to mess around with, but I do hope they flesh out the game more. I know that part of the fun was to get creative and think of your own solutions, but honestly you could solve 90% of the puzzles with the same 10 items.

I want to see how this can truly advance hardcore gaming. Nintendo already tried motion controls on the Wii, and we've seen how it hasn't changed hardcore gaming at all. F.y.i, talking to a digital Milo kid or swatting away colored bouncy balls does not advance hardcore gaming, nor does moving through the dashboard with hand motions and voice commands.

PS3 seems like the console to own. It can do 3D, motion tracking through the Eye camera, and then 1:1 motion controls through Move.

Hahahahh! This list is funny, but 100% correct. "Professional" gaming journalism is a joke. It has basically turned into public relations, bribed advertisement, and controversial article titles to get hits.

This review is bogus. He seems to be reviewing it as if it was meant to be a console game (premonition: MG Rising gets a 9/10 or higher from this source...)

MGS: Peace Walker is one of the best handheld games out there, and it really is "Metal Gear Solid 5" like Kojima said it would be. It is a fantastic game and a MUST-PLAY for ANY fan of the MGS series.

Microsoft always always ALWAYS wows. That's one of their strongest traits.

However, they have some issues when it comes to actually delivering. As a long-time gamer, I've grown tired of being "wow"ed. I want results.

Wat...
Portal is a great mini-game, but hardly the best game of all time. Sounds like someone has been giggling "the cake is a lie" too much this year.

To be honest, this sounds like damage control.

I love the PSP...probably one of my favorite platforms of all time. Currently playing and loving Peace Walker. However, the Go wasn't that great of an idea, "test" or not.

Yeah. "Bam, there it is" surpassed "Giant enemy crab", "Riiiiidge racer!", that hilarious Wii Music drumming, and any other E3 blunder I can think of. The even funnier part is that the media refused to pull the wool away from their eyes and still were like "My gawd! Natal is so kewl!"

Especially not when PACHTER HIMSELF is one of the biggest fanboys out there.

His console of choice? False predictions.

I think it's hilarious how Activision is starting a division for indie developers.

Lulz. They'll probably hire them, steal their ideas, and then sue the developers.

The list is fairly weak, and - in some of the points - inaccurate.

Halo is no longer a GotY series. A very small handful of sites gave that honor to Halo 2, and only two or three sites (1up being one that gave it to both Halo 2 and Halo 3. Hmm...) gave Halo 3 GotY. Neither Halo:ODST nor Halo Wars received any GotY awards. They weren't even nominated on most sites.

Wow.

Read this article. It's hilarious. I feel bad for mature 360 owners when it's people like this who represent the "average" 360 player.
