The SEGA Dreamcast was awesome, and I still own and love mine.
However, the Dreamcast's #1 contribution to the gaming world was a tragedy, but it proved a point:
It doesn't matter how big a name you have. Once you start milking the same old franchises (Sonic) without introducing new exclusives, your console will die.
I wonder if anyone else in the industry is following that trend...

Right now, I only care about which console has the best games.

Instead of just saying it, show us. Kinect has yet to show one single thing that hasn't already been done on Eyetoy, Eye, and that Xbox 360 camera that everyone has conveniently forgotten.
MORE support for AAA titles? Well, I agree, but there already is a ton of AAA support for it from dozens of hardcore games.
I really wonder if the media would be saying this if Portal 2 was exclusive to the 360, because both Portal and the 360-exclusive Portal: Still Alive were highly rated and well-loved by both journalists and gamers. Oh, but now the best console version will be on the PS3, so of COURSE we all have to question if it's worth the hype.
So, what's the deal? Is Portal 2 worth the hype when it looks 10 times better than the first portal?
Epic! If PS3 emulating/homebrewing takes off, I wonder if it would be able to run all systems from previous gens.
The overwhelming amount of patience that gamers are giving Kinect is absolutely staggering. It's even more staggering when these same gamers turn around and mock even the tiniest errors in other games.

Never once had a firmware issue. I think certain people/websites make a big issue out of even the smallest of PS3 "problems" because they'd like to believe the 360 isn't the only console with crippling issues.
The article says "other platforms". Never once does David Cage mention the 360 specifically.
But who cares? I thought Heavy Rain was nothing but one long QTE movie, right? I mean, that's what certain fanboys would lead you to believe...

If anything, it's overappreciated, like any other Halo game. The Halo fanbase worships Halo 2 for being the first online Halo.
I'm not going to express love nor hate for this game until I actually play it.
But with that said, some gamers need to take off their nostalgia-colored glasses. Duke Nukem was only slightly above-average even in its prime, so I don't understand how this new game will automatically be AAA...
I'm very glad to see some PC games on that list. I get tired of seeing the same ol' console-only Top 10 lists (not that consoles are bad).
I'll wait for a review from a site I recognize. So far all of the reviews - both the high ones and the low ones - have been poorly-written.
