Wow, a lot of negative comments here. It looks awesome as hell to me. One of the few games these days that doesn't take itself too seriously. Hopefully it turns out great. If it does it's the first game on the xbone I could see myself buying if it had been released for the ps4.
Being able to make realistic tillable textures is a very standard requirement for jobs like these. This doesn't have to mean that the game they're working on is going to have realistic textures.

Amazing looking game. You can't help but stop and look at the beautiful environments while you're playing. I had some fun playing through it as well even though it's definitely not as good as the first game.
I think totalbiscuit talks about this subject in one of his videos. On average, If you compare a 9/10 game and an 8/10 game you'll actually see a quite significant difference in sales. There are of course exceptions.
The number rating system is flawed and shouldn't really be used if the goal of the review is to show the consumer what's good or bad with a game. A lot of people will just look at the score instead of what the reviewer has to say.

GTAV? Possibly. Uncharted and GoW3? I doubt it since most ps3 owners have already played them. It's been quite a while since they got released. TLoU is still a rather new game which everyone hasn't had a chance to play so I'm guessing it would sell more.

There aren't that many games for the xbone OR the ps4 but it's totally understandable considering how new the systems are.
It's not like Sony are trying to replace AAA games with indies. More games are just good news no matter if they're indie or not.

It looks nice considering it runs at 60 fps as well. I'm really glad they did that. The framerate in Killzone Shadow Fall really hurt my experience with the game.
I haven't played Ryse so I'm not sure if it's the best looking console game right now or not. It does look amazing though. If it would come out for PC or PS4 I'd probably get it mostly for the graphics.
Investors who don't want anything in return are not easy to come by and self funding is often not an options since making games can be really expensive. You need money to pay your rent and to buy to your food. Crowd funding is also not that easy to achieve. Most projects just become a drop in the ocean.
I'm in an indie company myself and we WANT to find a publisher because that would mean that we could continue to make games without having to get second jobs.
I guess it's up to the buyer if he think it's worth it or not. A lot of people are waiting for more games to come out and I don't blame them. It's the same for all current gen consoles. E3 can't come soon enough!
I'm guessing Russia is about as strict as most countries. Wasn't that 18+ rating for the Sims 4 based on the fact that there's homosexual relationships in the game?
