Like Tretton said, it goes both ways. Take a look at any article here about how a multiplat game looks better on ps4 over x1. For the most part it ain't the x1 owners doing the bashing.
PCs are way cheaper in the long run thanks to cheaper games and no monthly subscription fee but it's totally understandable that some people don't want to invest a lot of money up front.
Considering the game runs at 60 fps and 1080p (at least on ps4) I personally don't mind a bit of pop-in.
The great graphics certainly didn't make the experiences any worse so I'm not sure what your point is.
It should but it probably won't as of yet. Prettier graphics is a bigger selling point than 1080p 60fps to most people.
Nothing I'll play personally. I guess DS3 is nice but I already got it from the humble ea bundle and I still haven't started it.
Agreed. I just bought Ground Zeroes and for me 60 fps and 1080p was a pretty big selling point for me. MGS5 is a great example of how you can still have an great looking game without having to sacrifice framerate or resolution.
It's Ubisoft but it's not the same developers. Massive Entertainment is a competent studio (WIC was awesome) and just because Watch Dogs got downgraded it doesn't mean The Division will be.
But hey what do I or anyone else here know. We'll just have to wait and see. No need to grab your pitchforks just yet.
I think they've said previously that you can't :(
I'm still waiting to see what more the Order has to offer other than tight corridor third person shooting. What they showed at E3 was a good start but I can't say I'm a fan of the scripted nature of it all. I'm guessing a lot of people WILL like it though.
Nevertheless, this game has way more potential than what Ryse had and I hope it turns out great in the end. I just wish there would be more articles about the gameplay instead of the graphics!
Hey, IF film grain helps making aliasing less noticeable then I'm all for it. Just don't go overboard with it.
I'm guessing it's US only as usual? Ah well, I already have some of the games and the rest doesn't really interest me.
Can't they just sell the game when it's done instead? I know, I know "If you don't like it, don't buy it". I'm just worried that more big studios that can already afford the development cost will go the early access route instead of actually releasing finished games. You just know EA is thinking about it right now.
I wasn't referring to the multiplatform games of course...
My point is that that the only thing that really matters here is no. 1 in the article. While the other things are all fine and dandy, they mean nothing without exclusive games.
What's YOUR point? That the Xbox One doesn't have any exclusive games and that it would be stupid to buy one instead of a PS4? While I personally think the PS4 is a better choice as well I'm gonna have to disagr...
I you like the games shown, that's the only reason you need. If you didn't then that's the only reason you need to NOT buy one.
They aaaalmost had me when they showed Conker but it was too good to be true :(
One year is a short amount of time for big games like these. It's understandable that the game isn't ready to be shown.
Look on the bright side. Hopefully this means they're not just making a reskinned Battlefield game.
I'm guessing they're busy making the game. You should be happy they're not rushing things like they did with BF4.
I'm also disappointed they didn't show any gameplay but I'd rather see nothing at all than something that won't look like the final product.
I didn't say they were lying. I just mistakenly thought that they hadn't confirmed the U4 trailer to be real time footage.
Since Naughty Dog has used prerendered cutscenes in the past I thought this was no different but thankfully it seems like I was wrong.
It most certainly does not. You can take a scene from the game, bump up the texture resolution/effects etc. and then make a video/cutscene of it which you then put in the game instead of having the system run the scene in real time/in-game.
And yes, the Uncharted series definitely use pre-rendered cutscenes. The game looks almost as good as the cutscenes though so there's nothing really to complain about.
Could someone give me a good explanation or link to why people here hate him? I vaguely remember him saying something negative about sony. Is that it? People saying he's just a douchebag doesn't help at all and it makes the haters look even worse than him.
