I've managed to avoid all hype for this game and now when I've looked into it a bit more I still don't see the big appeal. It just doesn't look like a game I could play for more than a few hours. I might get it when it gets a PC release (I mean come on it's Activision) but I'm still waiting for reviews.
Statistically it probably does matter (at least to developers). A 7.9 vs an 8 could very well affect sales for your game to some degree. Should it matter? Hell no. Review scores in general shouldn't exist for various reasons.
I know a lot of people on this site doesn't like Sessler but whatever. He's pretty spot on here IMO - https://www.youtube.com/wat...
I'm surprised they didn't announce another HD collection!
I appreciate you actually responding instead of just giving me a disagree!
1) Upgrading your PC is completely optional. Buy a powerful PC now for 800-1000$ (Buying a PC for 380$ is foolish) and it will still run multiplatform games better than consoles at the end of the generation. Of course you may have to lower your graphics settings later on but it will still look better than on consoles.
2) When I said 1050$ I counted the online subscription AND the more ...
No one in their right mind would buy a gaming PC that cheap but that doesn't mean PC gaming is more expensive in the long run.
Let's say this console gen will last 7 years. That means an additional 350$ cost in case you want to keep playing online on your console. Now let's say you buy 10 games every year. Over the course of these 7 years you'll pay 700$ more due to console games being more expensive. That's 1050$ down the drain without counting potential ...
I've seen three articles today from Dualshockers based on job ads only. Two of them are "potentially" about an unannounced game which we know nothing about. If this isn't the definition of "slow news day" I don't know what is.
Dualshockers like to scavenge job ads for anything that can be used as a headline.
Edit: Hah! I didn't even notice there's another article up right now based on a job ad. It's even hotter than this one.
I'm sure I've seen that headline here before.
Oh boy, here we go again. Some people care a lot about framerate and resolution and some don't. I care A LOT about both but that didn't stop me from buying a Wii U.
But yeah, this discussion can go on forever.
@Valet
While infamous does run better than Ryse it rarely goes above 40 fps. 30-40 FPS is more accurate.

On topic: Crysis 3 runs great on my system so I probably won't have much problem running this as well if I ever decide to get it. It really see...
@mikeslemonade
Lets hope the Steambox will fix that problem! As a matter of fact it should almost be considered another reason on this list.
There are definitely some good games out there. What I mean is that so far they don't have a whole lot more to offer than what can already be found on last gen systems (apart from the obvious graphical differences). While both the Xbox One and PS4 are great consoles I wouldn't call either of them a "must buy" right now and you're certainly not "doing it wrong" If you don't own both of them.
To be honest there aren't that many great games for either console (X1 and PS4) as of yet. It's not THAT necessary to own a next gen console right now let alone two.
Yes you can. I just have to plug an hdmi cable from my PC to my TV and I'm good to go. And yes, there are split screen games as well.
Fine, your PC might not be close enough to your TV and couch but that's on you.
Buying a PC is an investment. The initial cost will most likely be higher but in the long run it's way cheaper due to free online, cheaper games and sales.
The article is partially correct IMO. While the X1 doesn't deserve ALL the hate, there are definitely things worth complaining about. A lot of criticism is probably pointed more towards MS than the console itself.
If you only look at the number of games/features these two next gen consoles have to offer (right now) and ignore whatever opinion you have on MS as a business, the X1 isn't THAT far behind.
I'd say it's the price tag that ruins it. ...
It kinda bugs me how PS4 owners are also the ones who must pay for it if they want to play online.
I regret buying my one year subscription as soon as I did. There aren't even that many really good games to play online right now. That's my mistake though. The value of PS+ will increase when the game library is bigger of course.
As bad as this is, it's not like it's unusual that these things happen. There are a lot of great games out there that go unnoticed simply because the developers don't have the right connections in the industry. I know some people who got their game on steam not because they found a publisher or thanks to greenlight but because they managed to get introduced to the right people.
But yeah, they need to disclose this stuff.
You just know it's Dualshockers when you see the words "revolutionary" and "dynamic" in the headline :)
I bought a Move and was pretty disappointed with the lack of good games for it. There's definitely a risk that the support for the device will drop if the games specifically made with the Morpheus in mind doesn't sell enough. As long as Sony keeps their support for indies they shouldn't have a problem though.
