If anyone actually looked into it, you'd find that Microsoft actually patented METHODS of voice (and possibly video) chat on videogame consoles. I don't think Sony is simply ignoring it. Most likely trying to figure out how to get it working some other way. I wouldn't be surprised if Sony got around the cokcblock and implemented a 3rd party program like skype or Xfire to use directly from the xmb for cross game chat.
Yeah I was going to say, like-- competing with a d-pad against sticks? Usually a bad idea.
They don't use sticks for EVO tournaments? Or do they?
I wonder if it's optional to use either controller or stick for the EVO tournament.
This game is too good. It has replaced all of my gaming time with MHFU time.
Aggghhhh...
I burned my psp's battery out playing this last night/this morning... and my charger's missing.
Must find charger.
As for the multiplatform thing. I would only want to see it on 1 of the 2 consoles. preferably ps3 though. mainly because the online multiplayer component (very important for MH) would be FREE, I have save files for my psp that could be convert...
That's uhh... pretty intense...
SO true.. Quality games are quality games right? Multiplats this gen don't seem to really focus on that elusive "Q-word" though. Let's hope this is an exception.
I'm really El-oh-Elling at that chain scythe thing... Why didn't they just offer to make a God of War PSP title? It's pretty obvious that they've got GoW on the brain some bad.
They have big bosses though. Bonus points for big bosses, I guess... I kinda like the style of the environments/enemies though. Unfortunately, the combat looks like I've played it before.
Give it another go, bring psychoserums.
You'll have to develop the "claw" (Rotating camera with left index finger at all times, keeps you more aware). Otherwise you'll get trampled and ganked before you even get to attack.
First time I played it it was the most frustrating thing ever. MH has that effect. But once you take out your first Khezu or Rathian you'll feel 10000% more badass.
ANd yeah, there needs to be a PS3 release of a new MH game.....
Even though the current concept artwork version of Jim Raynor Doesn't seem very spot-on.... The voice sure as hell will be.
BEST NEWS IN WEEKS.
That would mean that full digital distributed movies would likely never come (studio-wide/full swing) this generation. Maybe here and there, but I don't think Sony would allow for everything to go digital and could exercise that belief if they acquired Paramount. It would ensure that Blu-Ray stays, and DVD becomes cycled out for the most part down the road.
The cannon stage simply blew my mind. Aside from dynasty Warriors, I've never seen so many enemies on screen at once. The system didn't even hiccup once either.
I must say it WAS the best rent ever for me. No other rental title entertained me as much as Heavenly Sword. It was top-notch quality too. Not much has come close to it in terms of the character animation/voice acting. It was all great.
All except the fact that it had no real replay value.
I'm still heavy into it... Waiting patiently for 1.13..
Hopefully someday both sides will become so infatuated with each other that they FINALLY just merge so we can get the same products from ONE source and not 2.
They'll walk the casual line with forza3, and that's where they'll lose points.
From JUST THIS VIDEO alone, GT5 looks better. There's no real point to argue about it. The camerawork/presentation of the GT5 bits was a cut above Forza 3's, which may have helped the "looks better" agrument.
Both of the games look fantastic, just as Gears and Uncharted look great. I'm actually kind of surprised that they continue to squeeze stuff out of the 360. My ONLY concern...
UHhhh... Just my opinion, but I think you need at least 50+ hours of playtime before you can actually review a MH game. I've banked well over 250 hours into MHF:2 and I'm still hooked. It would be a solid 11/10 if possible. 250 hours isn't even a whole lot of time considering the amount of content and practice it takes to take down 80% of the bosses.
7/10, that should be considered a crime.
I'm in tears
The joke's on them. In another year's time, the 360 shelf will be 95% multiplats (the other 5% will be Halo spinoffs). While they scramble to snag old IP's, the PS3 library will be ripe with exclusives that the 360 will never see. That's what internal development does, it separates the two consoles. It's too bad they focus on securing multiplatform titles and starving half of the console gaming population with their DLC nonsense is Microsoft's idea of doing so. It seems like it does more har...
yeah, the only place on PSN where I ran into ads were in the Qore downloads... which are total nonesense unless there's free games included. The ads were mainly Burger King ads.
