I stated my opinion the same way the blogger stated his. he didn't say "Why I think Sony is blah blah" So I didn't feel the need to state that in my post. Your opinion is certainly in the minority as Nintendo's franchises are Industry staples, sony's...not so much.
You never hear ppl b!tch about "third parties can't compete with Sony" How many times have you heard "third parties can't compete with Nintendo" there is reason for this. (Besides the attempt to limit third parties abandoning the other systems)
Nintendo has been synonomous with quality since its endeavor into the gaming industry. Which wouldn't be where it is at today without the Big N's contributions. Sony does not compare to Nintendo first party dev teams...

Isn't surpassing Nintendo is game development. What planet are these people from. Sony's first party is getting stronger out of neccesity to stay competitive, much like how Nintendo had to during the N64 days.
"Casuals" are the hardest demographic to grab. The True Core gamers follow the games, when the games they like appear, regardless of the system, they flock to them.
Changes the game..again. Haters are going to find it hard to use the same catch phrases they've grown used to using to bash the Wii. This year seems to be like the year the Wii starts to inherit the "DS effect"

Would be cool, or just a brand new game, all together. I'm sick of the Remake route..And definitely not gonna be a happy Wii fan if all it is is UC2, I'll pretty much overlook anything Capcom has to offer the rest of the gen if that is what it is.

Hope not. I guess I was one of the few who was very underwhelmed by the first one. Give the Wii a proper RE title, the ground work is there for what RE4 accomplished control wise. I don't ever want to play a resident evil game of that ilk with dual analogue again.

But I just really see this game taking off. People are supposedly "holding their breath" To see how games like this will sell on the Wii and I say this game will be a big hit. After playing at the Comic Con (Sorry product gotta keep rubbin it in;) I've been counting the days till June (also because NY winters are quite harsh)

I hear you, the grass in Wiisports does look good! Also I'm feeling the art style actually now, but more importantly I'm feeling the info about the gameplay and especially online play, if Wiisports had that I'd be playing it more than I already do.
I'm not arguing Mario Party or Carnival games are fantastic games. I'm saying that Reviewers today are out of touch with the general public who think those games are good. The only "10" I'd give out this gen so far is Wii Sports. Look what it does, it allows anyone to be able to play it and there is depth for those who want to find it.
TBH, I could careless for all of IGN's reviews really, I feel they are somewhat manipulated. I mean GTA4 a 10? Really? I think their review system is so broken and I feel they are mad that they are not the be all end all when it comes to game reviews.
