Man this is funny that an event such as PS3 outselling Wii for the week is even news worthy. I liken it to the jordan era Chicago bulls, when they were on their historic 72-10 season, Domination had come to be expected and when they lost a game here and there it made the front pages.
Wasn't the PS3 pricecut the catalyst for the PS3 outselling the Wii a month last year? Then for the rest of the year it was trounced. It is hilarious hearing "Ps3 dominating now" What are...
I saw that first pic I was like "this game is coming to the DS?" I mean really it looks unflaterring..But then I clicked the link and I can see the visual style they are going for is sort of like shaun white, if Gameplay takes it to the next level I'd be interested..if not, hopefully Sega can come through.
going to get it if the word of mouth from those who played it remains positive..or if the mood hits I'll get it day 1..we'll see..I live life on the edge.
"Variety" also had my interest piqued. I have a good feeling about this yrs E3, it just seems so quiet (on Nintendo's front). I'm not going to overhype myself into a tizzy but I am definitely interested to see what's in the goodie bag.
Get some flack for this and may even be accused of double talk, but here goes.
I loved RE2I played it on the N64 and was blown away. But one thing that is worrying me is the dependence on older classics. It is a crutch that on one hand can be a great thing, the REmake on gc was awesome also, but how many times are we going to revisit a game?
I'd much rather see new intellectual properties, remember RE on the PS1 was something new. Where are the games that will be...
This was particularly telling "We looked at the Wii and the decision we made to actually go with the Wii when a lot of other people were considering the 20 million plus projects on the PS3. We looked at the landscape and said how is this product ever going to recoup? How are we going to make money, what’s the risk reward paradigm there? When you look at the Wii, and look at how many units are out there, and you look at the input device you say, “Wow this truly is something special.” And,...
Is easy to find if you look for it, who the hell is this chump? He is just pulling sh!t out of his a$$, no wonder his article stinks. I mean really what is up with all these garbage articles lately. It is like 2006 all over again.
He cherry picks games to prove a nonsensical point, and gets his info all messed up. Isn't it crazy that the biggest game on 360 with a year headstart has gotten outsold by nearly every Major Nintendo franchise in half the time on the market? W@W is a...
Be more inclined to say the HD consoles have reached a saturation point. Sales are no where near the league of the Wii's and never have been.
Are you really that dense?
Some of the comments in this zone are ignorant..Hell the insinuation of the news article attmepts to make is also ignorant, So PS3 is still playing the "wait till..." card huh? Yeah we'll keep waiting I suppose, after Killzone 2 what will we be waiting for next time?
I can't believe we're still hearing the no "hardcore" games on Wii card, and last but not least, why are ppl that are seemingly so uninterested in the Wii always pop up on Wii news? Then write s...
I noticed something, you speak of the gaming libraries, while the others argue about the specs and other tech stuff.
I agree with you, as a gaming handheld DS is in a league of its own, hence why the DS has utterly destroyed psp in the sales category WW.
Product don't say such things like classic Contra, that game was so dope! Getting me hyped just thinking about that happening.
@Scissor Yeah, I don't have any inside scoup, but just looking at things from a logical business perspective WM+ seems like an attempt to pick up the stranded passengers that got left behind during the first arrival. In other words, third parties do not want to miss out on the Wii money tree a second time in a row, not when the financial climate is in t...
That's a witty observation. And I was wondering the same thing when I first started posting here, seems alot of nonsensical posters have infinite amount of bubbles. I've heard some things that some posters have multiple accounts and give themselves bubbles, but that's heresay I suppose.
What you will come to find is that this is a predominantly Sony site, so it is what it is. You will find some logical posters though, if you shuffle through the garbage. And by logical I don't m...
Unique doesn't equate to crap, lol. But Vega I heard Wii will get 50% of EA's efforts so take that as you will.
Away from the whole idea of "hardcore" and "casual" all together. It reminds me of the marketing scheme Sega used against Nintendo back in the day with attempting to stigmatize their then competitor as the "Kiddy" system. I understand the distinction trying to be made but, I feel its just a bunch of politicos trying to get the ruler out.
But anyway, I feel Xander did make a valid argument (on both posts) I see alot of fans of other consoles, cheifl...
And yes, definitely be excited for The Conduit, my playtime was brief, about 10 minutes I'd say. I spent most of the time tweaking my controls (I was trying to make em like Prime 3's) And this is an extremely sick option. You can even tweak Mr.Fords running speed, its ridiculous. "I'm not going to say this is going to be the greatest game of all time" that's not my style to say nonsense like that. But what I will say that in the short time I had with the game I was impressed, visual...
Prime 3 is longer than Gears 1-2 and MGS4 put together, in terms of the single player campaign. Short games, please. What games have you been playing on Wii because none of the top tier games I've played on the system are 6 hrs long to complete.
Having seen (and played) the Conduit in person at the recent Comic con I can honestly say that this statement this guy makes is absolutely true...and? Most logical people know this already. When you see a game like Prime 3 being churne...
Well said Xander.
Where would our industry be without Nintendo.
Excellent point, I played TC:NB and that game is very good (hard as hell). People usually write off nintendo power's reviews for being biased, but I actually find they are usually more spot on than IGN's.
