People are not understanding Iwata. PS3 has NOTHING to do with what he is talking about. He is talking about the economic climate. Being outsold by the Ps3 for a month or whatever is pretty much irrelevant. He is talking about the bigger picture here.
I doubt many of the people posting actually read the article. I can't help but have this nagging feeling of deja vu though. Like I've heard the same things before about another technically inferior, third party shunned, casual mini-game infested system. A system that eventually breezed passed 100 million units and is accepted by all types of gamers with all types of games...Oh yeah that's right, it was the DS. Yeah, no way the Wii will have similar success. No way.

Seeing as Capcom has operated in the past, I wouldn't be surprised if they did bring RE5 to the Wii. Honestly though, the game was pretty weak, no where near as great as 4 was, so if they don't bring it over...whatever.
See EA recouperating some losses with some of their moves on Wii lately. I mean they seem to finally get it. I for one believe their Tennis game will be a huge success on the platform. Is this the begining of the flood gates being opened? much like what happened with the DS?
Long time no confrontation lol. Actually, I could careless about this figure. But the significance of it is nothing to balk at. I mean to have a piece of software/peripheral sell almost as much as an entire installed base, that is a heck of a feat. Add to that it was released a year or whatever after the PS3 launched, its incredible.

In the year inwhich GTA4, MGS4, SC4, etc. Came out Wii still sold the most third party software? So now with the facts staring you all in the face you are forced to move the goal posts once again. Facts are facts and I think most of you cryin "shovelware" don't know what true shovelware is. Does Wii have tons of it? hell yeah. Did every marketleading console have tons of it? hell yeah. And?

Seriously believe the psp will sell 100 million units? it's older than the Wii and has sold less world wide. The HD twins will be lucky to sell 100m combined. The only and logical answer is the Wii. Its tracking above the DS WW.
Is this guy serious? That was hilarious. So Madworld needs to sell 2-3 million to break even? a cel-shaded 6 hr long game? Yeah, sure, sir. I can't say I'm surprised to see this get trash get approved, nor am I surprised the usual suspects are posting equally nonsensical bull sh!t. but more importantly, they are putting their virtual world into the hands of gamers, and it feels great. I suppose this game would be considered by Malstrom as a spearhead towards the upper tier market?;)

Very funny. The WW Market leader in every region has a games drought while other systems receive their multiplatform franchise games, and yet the Wii still outsells them save for Japan and now its talk about a new system?
