That hardcore segment your talking about is the very reason why many companies have been going belly up..Though I agree with the begining of what you said, but the rest, not so much.

The tide is begining to turn for the Wii. Not in terms of sales (Wii kills the comp) But in terms of gaming media acceptance. The old catchphrases of "no games" no longer holds merit, no third party support no longer holds merit.
Fanboys will have to become more clever in their bashing.
The "Wii doesn't sell games" shtick is proven wrong yet again. in fact you could probably say the PS3 is the system that doesn't sell games. Just one game in the top 20? not good.
Still it is amazing that the Wii is just dominating month in and month out. Devs would be even more foolish to continue to ignore the Wii.

At hearing how much graphics make a game. If that is the case why bother with HD consoles, they are sub par compared to PC's. Just like when I hear FF is a series that pushes graphical boundaries..since when? PS2 was the weakest console last gen by quite a margin.

Control best on the Wii. I take it you've never played a shooter game on the system. it is so much more intuitive and responsive than dual analogue. It shows just how imprecise and passe those control schemes have become.
Having played the Conduit at the Comic-Con, I can honestly say the controls in this game are impecable and customizable to a T. The controls sold me on the game.
