Guild War is still a thing?
One thing that I envy about the PS over Xbox is that PS use standard Bluetooth controller & headsets. So that PS players have a much much bigger selections of controllers & headphones to choose from, while we Xbox player can only choose from a very narrow selection. Now it seems Sony finally learn from MS, going down the proprietary route. :)
Or the Spider-Man PC remaster start menu. Did a static picture of Spider-Man made the game feel rush or not passion enough from the developer?????
The problem is: no one sure what the final product will be.....
I own both a Switch Lite & Series S, the lesser of both systems. I think MS should follow Nintendo's example, which is to admit that not all Switch game can be played on Switch Lite. Also acknowledge that same games mechanic are not translated perfectly from Switch to Switch Lite (some puzzles in Breath of the Wild was impossible to pass in Switch Lite). Consumer (like myself) made a conscious choice to choose a cheaper console over the more expensive one, should fully expect that som...
Not decades, maybe a couple of years. Theoretically MS can pay for the 68.7 billion cost with cash from a couple months of GamePass subscription fee.
"Could have doubled my money" You really has not idea what the stock market values is in the real world, right? For the pass 5 years Sony stock price grow from roughly 49 to 90 today, which is around 1.8x. That is not "double my money". While MS grow around 3x, Apple grow around 4x at the same period. So Sony is not the market leader in terms of shares price.
Tencent isn't allowed to make any big international investment anymore (by Chinese government).
PS+ Premium subscribers get THIS for their extra money?!!! Oh, dear!!!!
@crazyCoconuts: because that particular competing console doesn't want to do so.
Who said Gamepass subscription is losing money?
I think this game is enjoyable. Also more flexible than, say Overwatch. I can switch to another role mid-section, which I can't do in other hero-based shooter.
When the figure isn't looking good, it's "are difficult to compare"... Yeah........
On I don't. Bethesda should write their own story, like Bioware wrote Knight Of The Old Republic, one of the best Star War story ever.
You should play Diablo 1 again, to experience its biggest invention at that time: the randomized map & side missions! You already know that Diablo 1 was divided into 4 major story points, each story contain 4 levels of dragons. Each time you start a gaming sections, the map & side mission would be generated randomly. So in some play thru you may meet The Butcher, sometime you didn't. Sometime you may meet the Skeleton King, sometimes you don't. So each play thru you won't ...
No It shouldn't!!!!! We've seen too many game-to-movie/tv fiasco by now. Game & movie/ TV are 2 mediums that have 2 conflicting objectives. The emotion of movie/ TV comes from a passive story. The emotion of a game comes from the player's action. So the story or a game can be as sample are "Hell on Mars; kill any moving thing"-Doom. Yet the Doom movie need to stuff-in characters, motive, etc.... that were completely irreverent to the game.It would be the same for a ...
It actually means that the software & service revenue increase, almost more than offset the decline of hardware sales.
It was the idea of "High End Gaming Console" from CMA, EU regulators & FTC that excluded Nintendo from their talk. That idea was not from MS.
The stories of AC Black Flag, Far Cry 3 & AC Origin are all pretty good (one of the mid mission in Origin make is considered the saddest mission in gaming....). The stories of Ubisoft games starts down hill when the stories are required to be "inclusive", i.e. as generic as possible. The story & mission structure has to be accounted for both male or female protagonists, so you can no longer have emotion written specific for a male or female character like those 3 games.
Actually outside of US, mobile game is a much bigger deal. In Japan, a lot of games (anime IPs, especially) are being developed exclusively for mobile. So MS focusing on that sector is a much better strategy than focusing on traditional console games.
