@Ninja
Unless they include a disk drive also. I recall the Wii having the ability to play gamecube games despite the smaller disk.
@Liqu1d
You're right, they don't owe it to anyone. But they seem more than happy to charge people to play all those old games. #4theplayers
Plenty of backlash happened. The DSi is the worst selling Nintendo handheld so far. Not the DS Lite. The DS LITE CAN play GBA games. I have one in my DS LITE right now.
And plenty of people including myself disagree with you. I had several PS2 disks that only worked on the Playstation 3 thanks to BC.
You would have to be living under a rock to not hear of Warthunder, it's a direct competitor to world of warplanes/tanks and is constantly talked about. And the controls can be customized so that you're using a maximum of six keys. They also allow controller support. There are no excuses.
Losing them? I wouldn't call that losing them. I'm running Windows 7. I wouldn't be able to play any of these games without upgrading to Windows 10.
@VforVideogames
Coming to windows, it's already for sale on steam.
Elite: Dangerous uses the same basic controls Warthunder does. How can it be that difficult for you to figure out?
It's taken so long to nail down a release date because they're an indie team that has had their office flood and their work destroyed. On top of having to develop a Playstation 4 version of the title.
This. We know next to nothing about it and there is already an article saying "don't believe the hype"??
@donthate
Nintendo does this already, such an example is with the N3DS. Certain games are exclusive to it. Older games are the same but run better.
Are you forgetting America has an industry in which 6 year olds are paraded around on stages in bikinis? But I guess child pageants are fine while FICTIONAL CONTENT is not.
Gameplay they have shown off has been minimal. They have yet to show off many of the gameplay features they're promising such as trading, crafting. I don't even remember dog fighting. Just landing on a planet, mining a few rocks and killing the local wildlife.
"Unlimited replayability"
Please stop using this term. You know what other two games supposedly have unlimited replayability? Elite: Dangerous and Minecraft. One has simulated our entire galaxy and one has simulated trillions of miles worth of land. And people have gotten very bored of both of these titles. Especially Elite, which offers the same premise as No Man's Sky. Procedural generated galaxy for you to explore. Now, one of these games is primarily played ...
"Which fits a game more"
What? As long as an art style looks good, you can make it work with any game. What the hell kind of logic are you using? Do you think you cannot make a horror game look horrifying by using a cel shaded art style?
Don't own a WiiU but have used one quite a bit. That tablet controller is wonderful. It is amazing that it doesn't feel bulky or clunky to use. And the screen mirroring during multiplayer matches is just excellent.
People are just ignorant. Super Mario Sunshine and Galaxy running at 4k (downsampled of course) 60 fps on Dolphin with proper AA are some of the most beautiful games I've seen.
"Diversity in the PC ecosystem"
GOG doesn't exist now? I have quite a number of games with them also.
There have been plenty of spinoffs on home consoles. The Colosseum series was great. But other than that, the game series is what Gamefreak wills. And they want it to stay on handhelds so people can trade with each other and be social.
Optimization isn't some magical wand you can wave and suddenly you're pumping out crysis visuals at 1080 60fps, you realize this?
Saying "ITS CURRENT YEAR" does not validate bad practices with publishers and developers.
