I wonder what the general public will think of the multi?
How could they make a 360/PS3 version worse than the Wii version?
Well at least there's a Rugby League game on 360 and PS3.
Dropping what is essentially a separate component to make two components sold cheaper separately is lame? Besides that's an opinion and not a really a reason to report. The whole point of N4G is to argue over the ideas :)
Obviously it would only work with self-contained multis like COD or Halo and not co-ops.
So true.
There's a big portion of gamers who don't want or can't be connected online all the time and to have to be so for a single player part of a game is stupid. So I hope that never happens.
Even with my iPod touch I want games I can play out and not be connected all the time but there are many apps that require internet connection for no real necessary reason.
Mind you co-op games that follow the story would be different...though Lara Croft did co-op well doing it online only on PSN and XBLA and making it a bit cheaper.
Personally I'd like to see more offline multi back with bots!
I wouldn't mind if online multi was downloadable myself if single player games got cheaper on disc...
Yes but say last gen the use was much simpler. Now games have more combos etc.
Agreed.
I think the big change is that the killing has become much more graphic (I almost said realistic but in many games it is so over the top that it isn't!).
I really don't think it is necessary to keep trying to be the goriest more grotesquely violent game out there. I remember thinking how stupid the Soldier of Fortune games were (you shoot a leg it comes off...same with heads etc.) and we still have that sort of game mentality only it looks less cartoony.
I loved the N64 Castlevania despite the criticism! It had awesome atmosphere. I'll never forget the chainsaw guy in the maze...But I really don't like the difficulty of the side-scrolling versions.
Good stuff!
Here's a question, I'm interested in hearing from you techies:
Is newer console hardware always an improvement?
I heard the PS2 (that's 2 people not 3) Slim had laser and heat issues?
Impressions are everything....lol. It's like those "new cheaper" boxes of grocery items that are actually less weight...with same size packaging.
I just don't get why they didn't include the new controller with the S.
RROD was a big disaster and a message for their next hardware: do it right before releasing it!
I look forward to seeing the reviews of the PS3 models, with the removal of backwards compatibility and then the slim etc.
I'm really surprised they made a sequel for this one...
My concern is that it goes the way of other non-humongous devs and never is released. Where is Hellion? Highlander? and I could name a few more that are similar but not to be seen.
I'm all for historically-based games and the AC series has been great, but there can be more. I'm sick of fantasy quick time event monster boss based games.
Yes I agree...it doesn't pay to be an early adopter. Unless you really want some of that pre-order/ LE stuff the stores tempt you with.
What worries me is the whole 'let's get rid of used games' push by EA Sports and Activision.
I'd only buy a few titles a year full retail, the rest would be used or heavily discounted (or traded).
Yeah it's kind of hard to justify a huge price increase on digital titles...it's a bit different to retail.
Seems like a lot of people on N4G have an opinion on different things relating to gaming...Some of it would probably not be made into an article though :)
