It's good to see gamers giving something to those who are in need.
Good luck to all the participants and good on all the donors!
I like the 'discussion' way of commenting on gameplay. Getting a couple of perspectives in one preview seems to bring out more 'opinion' and less simple description.
As for the game...still not convinced as it takes a great deal to wash the bad taste of the last one out of my mouth.
Special Ops originally had me groan: another modern/near future shooter with destroyed modern buildings and skyscrapers (even if in Dubai). Yawn.
But the sand physics described in the article could indeed make it more interesting...if they work.
There aren't too many strategy games that work on consoles very well but Civ Rev with its turn based approach was a gem.
I'd love to see an Anno come to consoles other than Wii and DS.
Zombie Barbie! That would have been a cool figure for this!
So this is Aussie only?
Ewwwwwwwwe. Rip off its head? Cool figure but the wife would hate it!
I agree...Syria would do nicely. Damascus, Aleppo, Crusader castle of Krak De Chevalier, ruins of Palmyra...and sand like one of the guys below suggested!
Ahh Hitman. Much more interesting than two psychos...
The first game certainly didn't interest me...will this be any better? Sounds like they've tweaked the multi anyway.
If there isn't another Ace combat coming this may be okay.
Read a review? Nah...just go to almighty Metacritic to make up your mind like a sheep.
Some will think this game fun, others won't but reading about it will tell you if it is up your alley or not before you decide. A number doesn't really do that.
This game sounds like a lot of fun actually. Somehow I doubt most of the people bagging it have actually played it.
Bethesda seems to be growing is stature as a dev/publisher all the time! But man if we had a stronger gaming industry in Oz we might get something like this.
@ Quagmire...I agree. I'd even rather go back to WW2 shooters. Sick of all this modern warfare/apocalptic binge.
I just don't hear enough about the XBLA titles. A lot of sites just concentrate on the big full priced releases.
This game sounds very interesting actually.
Fruit Ninja certainly is simple fun, and if it's coming from the same studio then it could be good for non-gamers and gamers.
Wow we still have Aussie developers? I thought they were all dead now...
Awhile ago I wouldn't have agreed with you...but I have to say that ipod casual games for example are a lot of fun and I'm turning off the main hardcore games lately.
Well I guess the conference made an impact and is still being talked about so publicity worked...
Why do we need hardcore experiences in every part of the 360 system? You can get normal games and XBLA games and if you are hardcore you can stop there.
Those who don't want to buy normal games or XBLA games and don't consider themselves gamers can use Kinect and just have fun. Some just get the DS for the casual experiences and some get it for the Zeld...
Yeah was kind of hoping for a clue to AC3. But they wouldn't start promoting that one until Brotherhood is done.
I thought that some of the EA games were okay, especially Nightfire and Everything or Nothing. Quantum of Solace had an okay single player but the multi not having local play really did make it disposable.
