It seems a lot of people didn't think Treyarch could do better than Infinity Ward based on COD 3 and World at War, but now are shocked to see Black Ops be good?
Personally I'm over the too-serious shooters though.
I personally don't see not having a multi as a big negative. Games like the recent Bond that just put one out for the sake of it don't help the game any.
I don't think it is like Halo from what I read in the review...more like a combo between Halo and Gears, but yeah...hadn't heard much about it and I wonder how well it sold.
Yeah...I'll wait until there is some decent software. It has huge potential, but it seems nobody has gone beyond Wii stuff yet.

Well it was indeed VERY BAD. I only had a PS2 at the time, so you can't even cry fanboy at me. Mind you I wasn't a big fan of Killzone 2 either for the bland environments and constant over the top gung ho-ism. The third is looking very good indeed though. But then I'm more of an Uncharted person..
I was soooo bored with Killzone 2's environments: bland bland bland. This one looks to have remedied that, according to the description given of the beta levels. GOOD!
Actually the part where you are king and have to make decisions sounds like the part I'd like the most...sort of a kingdom management bit.
Basketball makes a great video game, but I never could get into watching it. When I did though it was during the Magic/Jordan era.
Man that's a blast from the past...that doesn't seem to have changed much from the description. I wish XBLA wasn't always used just to resurrect old titles and add a few things.
This article makes an excellent point and is well written. I totally agree...though most gamers would find it annoying to have to watch their shooting more carefully to avoid friendly-fire.
The other problem is if the friendly AI is always putting them in harms way...it gets annoying if you end up killing them for their stupidity. But yes, Oblivion makes more sense (unless you kill a character that you later need to advance a quest, which I accidentally did).
Do we all want to shoot zombies because we forgive their dumbness and are wanting to shoot lots of them, meaning we are sick of better AI but fewer commandos ducking behind cover?
At any rate adding zombies seems to be financial jackpot for devs and publishers right now...
Another game that is supposed to focus on history is The First Templar, but then in the video it looked like it had one of those LOTR Giants in it?????
Still might be good if it comes out...
Renaissance (the first book) describes it so you kind of can absorb it better, but not much clearer yet...maybe this book will?
An Assassin's Creed movie could be really good. Two games that would be great in movies would be AC and Uncharted

I think a book with Ezio/ Desmond but not just covering the events of the game would be interesting. A sub story that adds to the primary story maybe.
I'm still sad they canceled the original novels on Altair from the first game due to controversy.
