I have to say that Australian 'news' is following suit, but is still a long way from how insulated and over-dramatic US news is.
It really is bad (and I lived half my life in Canada watching US channels).
I still think that if you are going to do multi plat games you should do the best by each, even if that means staggered release dates.
I think I could enjoy some simpler gameplay and fun, and certainly the locations and time period are great ideas, but probably at a cheaper than full AAA price.
What I loved most about MGS4 was the way you could choose how you approached each section: you could do stealth if you wanted in a variety of ways, or you could treat it like a shooter.
Other games have shooter and stealth 'sections'.
I enjoyed the gameplay but the soap opera never-ending vids (MGS4 for eg.) caused much eye rolling and impatience. Some scenes were really dramatic (the bridge battle in Prague MGS4) but others were just ridiculous.
Oh I wasn't referring to 9/11...just the number of games set there (see: http://en.wikipedia.org/wik... )
BC 1 had a pretty good story (for a war shooter). Hope this one doesn't try the COD and MOH approach and just plays like a game not like a game trying too hard to be a over-dramatic movie...
I'm hoping this game is good. It'll make a good distraction from all the samey shooters around and coming...
Oh they just HAD to put New York in there...I was just getting encouraged that finally games were leaving that environment...
Still it sounds like a lot of urban warfare over open battlefields? At least there is also a single player to it, let's just hope it isn't just tacked on.
Yeah...hmmmm. He doesn't get it does he?
BLOODY SCREEN....So REAL!!!
They should include it on the Bulletstorm disc for 360 and PS3 :) Added incentive to buy...
This is the best 'fun' promotion ever. And if it is spawning its own parody reviews, it must make the creators proud!
Call of Duty so got pwned here!
You are totally correct. My son has pre-ordered the 3DS, having just sold off his DSi. Before rushing out to buy that one on launch, he had a DS.
On his DSi he played DS games...nothing he needed the 'i' for.
I wonder who will win the poll on the site...I love those things :) Whoever I back loses!
Yay! Finally two analogue sticks! I'm not sure about the touch thing on the back though....what the heck for?
I agree with you, but people with a budget for only one portable will be wanting to see who is 'better', just like with the PS3, 360 and Wii. A 'war' is inevitable.
I'm pretty sure 3DS will win in sales, at least initially: it has 3D which is easy for all to understand and a good 'gimmick', the DS has been the portable console of choice for awhile now with a proven record, and its price is likely cheaper.
However, if Sony prices well, gets a good software line-up, and actually markets it...who knows.
I think the author says that 3DS will sell more because of its simpler message: 3D and Nintnedo DS, whereas the NGP's dual analogue, reach touch pad etc. is less obvious to casual non gamer-type buyers.
I think the 3DS is indeed an upgrade with 3D thrown in: on one hand I'm happy with that and interested but on the other the reports of 'motion sickness' with it worries me. I get headaches from 3D movies.
The Sony NGP looks to be the gamer'...
Is she sassy enough?
Yeah I'm really sick of the "we'll release a patch after release" attitude. Fair enough if you missed it and need to do it afterward, but the whole 'just get it out, use gamers as the testers, and fix later' is lazy.
I don't mind games missing their expected release date if they are released with as few bugs as possible. I feel sorry for any console owners with no internet access to the console these days...
I hope Ubi takes their time to make AC3 great and hopefully in a good setting in history.
The other two Templar games look interesting too, especially the offline co-op...there should be more games like that. I hope these are closer to AC in visuals than Dantes Inferno, I'm kind of sick of red filtered grotesque art direction in games.
