No!
Because PS Move is a Sony product, and nothing bad ever applies to them! Get with the program here on n4g.com!
Please tell us how MS is failing at using their own product?
Specifically I would like to know also how those things can be prevented using a similar competing product.
I would like to know, since it appears you have experience migrating a large scale website with hundreds and thousands of users.
"Epic Games vice president Mark Rein told GamesIndustry.biz that people should not dismiss motion controllers without first seeing what can be achieved with the technology."
Although PS Move is able to track parts of the body (as evident of the upper body only tracking), it still can't track depth. It can only track depth on the PS Move wand with the bulb on top and hence why they don't track your feet. Notice, how it can't really detect the bend in your arms either. It most likely determines that position based on how the joints are connected, that is why it is wrong sometimes in that video.
It is possible one day PS Eye can emulate...
Because Kinect is hot and every little news about it gets a lot of attention. Good or bad, you are here aren't you in this not so newsworthy article?
Yeah, and I'm sure a LAMP stack wouldn't have the same problem?
The failure of the site has little to do with technology and I really don't see why MS would use anything else than their own products to deploy their website.
Your making no sense!!!
Actually for me the site is way faster. However, "My Xbox" doesn't work....
I think the site is much more optimized.
"I'm confident that I'm missing something, but I think that you get the message. MS HAS RARELY led "
They just make a better product? Clearly a lot of those technology companies/product died?
However, I'm almost certain if you look at any company product I can point to a similar predecessor! So I don't believe your point holds!
PSN is nice, but Xbox Live almost always have more gamers in the lobby.
It's not about having an account or registered users, but active accounts that play on a regular basis and for that I don't think anyone can touch Xbox Live. If you pay, you play!
That video is awesome!!!
The game got terrible reviews almost universally so I decided to wait for the eventual bargain bin...
How did it sell so well?
It's also a fact that developer resources are limited and making a somewhat developer unfriendly console isn't doing Sony any favors. Sony might have gotten away with it when they dominated the market, but the competitive landscape has significantly changed since then.
SO when do we get one of these in the US?
I think MS did you all one better than reviews, they have Kinect available for YOU TO TRY YOURSELF!
They have been touring all over the country so give it a whirl yourself.
All these reviewers are gonna do is complain about how Kinect isn't for them and then give it a bad score when clearly the initial launch of games weren't aimed at the hardcore gamers.
It's akin to highly regarded movies that win Oscars, but yet makes me want ...
I agree with that. Knowing when the market is ready is kind of important, don'tcha think?
Equally important is releasing something that is standardized so we don't get a fractured market like 3D TVs are like now. Your $150 glasses don't necessarily work with other 3D TVs.
@the_only_lol_king
What credit? 3D viewing has been around for a long time and isn't as if one company is developing and pushing 3D TVs. If you want credit, look u...
Exactly! One day it might when the feature is so cheap is standard in the TV and many people started replacing their TVs.
Until then, most people just replaced their tube TVs with an HDTV.
Most people with jobs consider a TV a major purchase so I don't know if a 3D option that is going to cost significantly more and require you to buy additional $150 glasses for each person is a serious consideration.
After all a non-3D HDTV cost around $800 for a 46". A pair of glasses alone is almost 20% of the TV cost!
New technology is expensive indeed, but it only becomes mainstream (and get the proper support) when the prices are low enough that ...
... and that just about sums up the problem with our world!
Did you see the smile on their faces when they were playing the games?
That is all you need to know!
These creative things are something that the indie community is likely to do. When is Kinect going to be opened up to XNA/indie developers?
Soon I hope!!!
