Technically speaking, Xbox Live (or online play) is a service and services rarely if ever tend to be free. It's just that the industry started with free online play and so we have come to expect that, but that business model no longer works today and that is why we get a lot of P2P powered online gaming.

That is not to say that Xbox Live fee is actually helping that at all, but it is just a matter of time before Activision or EA starts charging you for online play on-top ...

LOL!

Capitalism is what keeps the industry afloat!

Now I could agree with the lack of originality....

Well, the ball is in Sony's court to prove that the sales aren't as bad as the media is suggesting it is or Sony can just let the media continue reporting on poor PS Move sales.

Either way, the ball is in Sony's court to clarify their situation.

Sounds like that rumor about Sony making an Android based PSP phone (PSP2?) is less likely since a WP7 set would directly compete with that. So it seems PSP2 will still be a dedicated portable gaming unit with no phone functionality.

It's still available at most other retailers like Best Buy. This reminds me of God of War 3 Collector's Edition that was sold out by release, been then a massive amount of them resurfaced shortly after. Fry's Electronics had to discount them to $60 I think....

The biggest update that made the biggest difference is actually the voice quality has been significantly improved. It sounds better than any phone I have listened to and any VOIP service I have used.

All the extra stuff is icing on the cake!

I love being in the beta program, but they do seem to update it frequently during that time. A new update seems to be out every 2-3 days.

Because vhero is a fanboy himself and when looking through his fanboy goggles it appears that any positive Xbox 360 news is concocted by the opposition!

By the way, I can confirm it worked for me and it was the entire game without the premium DLC.

It's free, there is nothing to fall for.

Perhaps you should report yourself, Troll!

If you don't have a hard drive you can still grab the game and download it later when you have a USB Drive or Hard Drive.

It's free!

It's clear to me that a lot of people here didn't play Mass Effect 1. Games like Uncharted, Gears of War or even Halo don't focus on the story driven nature like Mass Effect. Sure, it might have had great story, but it certainly wasn't the main focus of the game.

Mass Effect 1 wasn't good because of it's shooting mechanism and game play, in fact some would argue the shooting element was weak. It's the story line, revelation and how you invest int...

You mean like how great MoH is?

Seriously, there hasn't really been any other game that can detrhone Call of Duty as the definite shooter apart from maybe Halo: Reach.

People might complain about CoD (which I believe is a loud minority), but nobody has shown me a better game. Complaining about CoD is like complaining about the industry!

It is a little disappointing it didn't do better, but that by no means doesn't mean Halo: Reach didn't do well. How many games even sell 3.3 million during it's lifetime, let alone the first month?

I think the gaming industry is in decline! The things that normally would prop it up is a new console cycle, instead we got PS Move and Kinect. Let's see what they can do.

You are right that Europe sold 1.5 million units, but Sony didn't specify what those units are. Is it the PS Move bundle, wand separately and the navigator combined?

It's hard for me to believe that the difference between US and Europe is a staggering 1:5 ratio, when no other product I know of have had that massive difference.

I expected low sales primarily because:

- there were almost no marketing
- too similar to Wii for a ...

So Jaffe admits God of War is not up to par with Ninja Gaiden, Bayonetta and Devil May Cry in the game mechanics regard, but counters with the sale argument and approachability.

I can see both sides of the coin and there is nothing wrong with that. Jaffe actually makes a good point. I'm glad there are games for both types of people, or better yet for people that like both! LIKE ME!!!

The emotional investment you have in a character that you played in the first game then bring it over to the second game and have some of those action have an effect in the second game is something that is impossible to replicate with an "introductory module". It's like an investment you put into "your" world that you get more attached to as you spent many hours on it.

With that said, I think you won't miss what you don't know!

I see the main reasons as:

- individual countries can't or won't have the freedom to print their own money which affects inflation/deflation and a host of other economic factors

- interests rates could be affected by other countries decisions

- the world currency can be affected by one nations mis-action that affects the entire world i.e. if somebody is allowed to print massive amount of cash, then all the countries in the world would...

Probably get pushed out to February-March. It seem all of Sony's biggest games get released during February-March. Heavy Rain, KillZone 2 and even God of War 3 was released during that time frame.

It's marketing and avoiding other releases that is the issue since it might get too close to other releases. Even though GT5 and CoD: Black Ops isn't the same genre, if I were Sony I would want to avoid releasing my my game right next to CoD too!
