I think it is ridiculous to believe any company would restrict the sales of their product to create some sense of hype. How many people here buy a product because it so hot it sells out?

I think that since it is now tied to PC, Xbox 360 and Windows Phone 7 in all one development kit you will see a lot of quality going forward. Whatever you see on Xbox Live Arcade is likely to migrate to Windows Phone 7.

You don't buy/sell shares in a company based on a review so I hope he had other good reasons. Otherwise, it is pretty stupid.
All companies will fear bad reviews. Ask any game developer what they feel when the first reviews are about to hit the streets!

I agree. People like what they tried and they pre-ordered. I think Kinect will be a success despite the critics.
It's like you go to a movie and the critics are all raving. You go watch the movie and it is bunch of snore fest. I think the gaming industry is turning into that unfortunately. A bunch of snobby critics and to add insult to injury we now get bloggers whom really are amateur journalists at best.
I can see why MS would want to delay the reviews. I mean after practically getting slaughtered for the past year on Kinect for a stuff that really isn't intended for that particular audience.
Imagine if I asked my grandmother to review Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare?

As much as I dislike Apple (yet respect them for the quality product they provide), iPhone is here to stay. Sales will significantly increase if and when they got on the Verizon network.
On AT&T alone, iPhone is basically as big as Android that exist on like 4 carriers in the US with multiple price points. In some cases as cheap as FREE with a contract!
iPhone is here to stay as much as I don't like it! It is a quality product though.

At this late in the game, I don't think there is much of any catalyst. PS Move is out and GT 5 is on the horizon. GT5 is a temporary boost just like Halo and PS Move has largely failed to move anything drastically. Nothing in the Playstation camp is happening, maybe a price cut next year.
Same with MS, all they got left is a price cut that will probably come...
Not to bag on GT5, but after all the waiting, the expectations and oh so much hype it only has 213k pre-orders at 4 weeks from launch? While Fable 3 has 480k with 3 week from launch?
What is going on with GT5? Is it that unpopular in the US?
I think that has now changed with many great exclusives from MS which just tells you how important the Xbox platform now has become.
Plenty exclusives are being stolen by Sony, but that in my opinion is just a good thing. Share the fun, because I personally think exclusivity is just something that benefits the console manufacturer not necessarily their consumers.

'Move' alone is a very generic term that does not uniquely qualify the product. 'PS Move' does and that is what it is referred in almost every article I read about on the internet. That is how it is also referred to as from Sony marketing material.
