One of those graphs looks a little odd - the one with the long horizontal bar chart.

That graph shows Brazil as the highest percentage of in-app purchases and also outright purchases by a huge margin. (Brazil?, Really?) However, Brazil isn't in the top 5 for quarterly revenue?

The first chart is monthly so perhaps it's a ton of soccer/football apps? Weird.

Pure bribery.

They make more money since you'll probably will more games and newer games are worth more.

For example, I buy lots of games on release day only because I can re-sell them for $15-20 less than I paid two weeks later. There's no way I could afford to buy so many games without that option.

With used games I get to support lots of different developers, buy many more games than I would have otherwise, and try out many games that are iffy, that I wouldn'...

@stragomccloud
Oh wow I didn't know they did that and I buy from them occasionally. Thanks for the info!

As a console gamer who's transitioning to PC I certainly agree that PC is where it's at right now.

All except I don't like playing w/keyboard and mouse, except Starcraft, so that pretty much leaves me out of multiplayer.

Of course when project Morpheous is released it's a day 1 purchase along with the PS4.

Without giving away any spoilers, I have to disagree that the game doesn't explicitly tell you what's going on.

The first two major cut-scenes explain in detail where you are, the state Elizabeth is in, why she's there, and that one of the main characters talking to you is a figment of her own memories. It only seems confusing since the story is time-lapsed, i.e. told out of order - though they explain that too during the game.

It's a brillia...

I would love a market where we can buy & sell digital games. Even just gift games to my friends when I'm done or didn't like them.

If we can do this, I'd go 100% digital overnight. As it is now, I'll only buy digital when there's an insane deal. I figure the price of digital is worth the physical price minus what I can sell it for 2-3 weeks later.

This means I *never* buy digital new. Trading selling digital would change this.

I think you mean that they sell DRM-free games. Right?

I have a 3DS, Vita, and Shield. They are all great with lots of fun games. Life is short. Play more games!

It's surprising that existing 3D games wouldn't work on Morpheus already. Probably due to the head tracking I guess. Sony can't take my money fast enough for this!

I stopped by a Target today and they happened to have one that appeared to be returned. Yes, I was super excited!

There was scotch tape across the top and an oval red sticker that said something like "Please check contents to verify all original items are present."

Unfortunately, they still wanted full price for it and there were two different employees that checked. One of them seemed surprised since he didn't think they resold returns. The oth...

Exactly. They arrogantly ignored everyone who disagreed with their horrible 'vision' and treated us with disrespect and disdain.

*Nothing* changed until the Amazon pre-orders showed we weren't fooled by their money-grabbing attempt raise prices and take a cut of everything.

They still don't give a rats ass about games or gamers and wish we all would just shut up and let them raise prices, spy and market us to death.

We didn&#...

$200 is exactly what it's worth to me as well.

Finally.. a price that fits the technology. The WiiU doesn't suck but since it's last-gen technology it deserves last-gen prices. I would pay $200 for one but not a penny more.

Of course that's now. In six months that will probably be too high. Sucks for Nintendo but they cheaped-out one too many times.

A steam machine is tuned specifically for running games so it should be faster and more efficient.

You start with a finished game then choose which features to pull out into DLC - make sure it's essential to the main story. Add some long boring sections you can skip by paying extra. Remove any parts of the game that might be considered challenging to a six year old. Make sure no content is offensive to anyone from any country. Make sure there's a nudge to purchase micro-transactions at least every five minutes.

Add DLC to multi-player that guarantees victory over t...

The system price is not a problem, it's the obscene markup for proprietary memory. A redesign that uses standard memory and HDMI out would be huge for new buyers and well worth an upgrade for existing owners.

Day 1: only $41.47 poorer. So far so good!

I normally buy all the consoles but there's no way I'm paying next-gen prices for last-gen technology. Nintendo's been gettin' away with cheaping out on their hardware ever since the Game Cube but the spell is broken. The Wii U has no clothes!

Me too. I buy all the consoles but the Xbox One is not going to be one of them. It's dead to me already. This article is correct, It's Sony's game to lose at this point.
