Agree 100% about GoG - they are amazing! DRM is optional on Steam and is left up to the publisher if they want to include it or not. Most do though, so perhaps that's a point without a distinction.

The one feature I really want is the option to buy/sell used digital games. I would support another platform if they offered this service.

Valve should kick Ubisoft off Steam for forcing the crappy uPlay launcher with all their games. I buy nothing from EA or Ubisoft and am happy to add Bethesda to the list.

I bought a bunch of games from GameFly digital but they closed down their service and 'transferred' ownership to some Direct2Drive. Now none of those games work and neither GameFly nor Direct2Drive tech support give a crap.

Steam is reliable and will be around for a long time si...

Knowing EA it will stop your movie 10 minutes before it ends and ask for a micro-transaction payment to see the ending.

Just never connect it to your network. I bought a TCL tv for an amazing price but read it actually spies on everything you do including sending screenshots back to home for marketing. It even says so in the terms-of-service.

I remember seeing it in a Sears as a kid at the end of an aisle in its own kiosk. Was super excited at first because "video games!!!" It was crazy expensive though, I think $599 for the cheap one and $799 for upgraded one though didn't understand what the difference was.

At first it seemed amazing because the graphics were so incredible but when trying to play a game they were mostly not really playable just pointing left or right to make decisions. The contro...

Steam bans players for cheating in the game. EA calls the same thing add-ons that you can purchase.

That's fine Phil, just know we're never paying for Live on PC no matter what little schemes you hatch in the marketing meetings; Ever. Also, nay to Windows store. The sooner you accept this the sooner we can get on with the fun.

This is the only game I've ever wanted to play on the xb1.

True, but the fudged up the controls in the last one so they were already on the road to ruin.

> First, blockchain is an existing technology. Why should Sony be able to patent any use of it?

This patent application simply combines blockchain with public/private key encryption - neither of which Sony invented. If you ask 100 developers to implement this, 90 would come up with the exact same solution. Really hope this gets rejected.

Never played these:

That's like saying don't hate animal abusers because there are some who actually murder people, which is much worse, so stop hating on animal abusers. So dumb.

If you care about gaming you won't spend any money on EA products. They are ruining the gaming industry and while it's true there are companies that actually harm and kill people, which is worse, EA is ruining the studios and even the nature of games and do so deliberately because profits are the onl...

Boom! There was only one thing to get me on a new pc gaming platform and this is it exactly. The perfect business model where the developer gets paid for both new and used sales.

Konami announces all their games come with fresh turds from now on. Newly created turds will be shipped to your home every week to insure the smell never goes away. There's also micro turds for those who wish to 100% complete the game. The business model brought to you by EA - trailblazing the *new* gaming industry.

I'd guess they won't be cheaper than $1400.

Doom VFR has serious navigation issues, that's why it dropped off so quickly. LA Noir will become more and more popular as the word gets out how good it is. Finally Fallout4 VR had some game breaking bugs at launch, requires a serious PC to run smoothly so you don't feel sick, and they charged the full $60 with no discount for existing owners and blocked Rift owners.

But yeah it's going to take some time to build up enough customers to justify a $30 million AAA ...

@fiveby9
You are wrong about EA suit's not being Star Wars fans. Any one of them can quote the exact $ each movie earned in the theatre, physical release, how much in merchandise, which demographics spend the most, and in each region. They are huge fans, just in a different way than us.
