This happens all the time. Usually with Japanese and foreign IP and indie games. This used to happen a lot back in the 90's and 2000's. Fact of the matter is Square and CD struggled to get Tomb Raider under an affordable budget and barely made profit on that game. Square is also in the crapper financially. If they needed the money to help fund the game and get it made, then in what way do people typing on their computers while sitting on their asses have the right to tell them how to ...
Man oh man these articles are getting old. How about this. If you don't know shit about SE's financials or know how much MS paid square or knew the situation the IP was in when the deal happened then shut up. This isn't the first time multiplatform games have gone exclusive and it won't be the last. To see grown men and women cry like babies over a video game they'll be playing in 4 months after it debuts anyway is pathetic.
Dude these guys are die hard fans of a piece of plastic. They'll justify any thing Sony does and completely shit on any single thing Microsoft, EA, Ubi, Nintendo, and Activision does. It's not even a surprise anymore. You just got to learn to accept that fact. Not only is it a fact that EA Access is just a plain better service than PS Now. It's significantly cheaper. If people want to argue that fact, then let them argue with air.
Since the beginning of EA announcing this there's been a witch hunt trying to destroy this service. Problem is that there's no catch or chink in it's armor. There's a clear agenda that certain people have against the service.
So if I'm reading this correctly. Sony can buy third party exclusives because they have more consoles sold and is stronger and it's ok? Ok that's all I ever wanted was a legit answer. Thanks.
I'm not confusing anything. Bloodbourne is a spiritual successor to both demon souls and dark souls. It's in the same universe. You just don't want to see the hypocrisy in your fanboy logic.
Hmm so how do you explain what's going on with Silent Hill? That's third party. That's multiplatform. Where's the outrage for that?
Serious question for Sony fans. If you're so outraged that Tomb Raider is now an exclusive. Why don't you share the same outrage that a successor to a franchise like Demon and Dark Souls is now exclusive to Sony? I mean Dark souls 1 and 2 sold a lot of units on 360, so why is this exclusive? I mean from software is third party, right? Oh wait it's only wrong when MS does it.
Quietly Microsoft has a lot of games coming this fall.
It's obvious why he did this video. Just like it's obvious why he does all of these " rants." He does these rants because he knows if he takes the piss out of popular topics in the news he can get massive clicks. When he took the piss out of IGN you think he didn't do that to please a certain crowd of people?
I could care less what console he likes/ His shtick is dumb and played out. Colin Moriarty is one of my favorite gaming journalists and reviewers and he's a playstation supporter.
His shtick is getting old and played out and his rants are not coherent. I've never found the guy to be that great, but his channel along with Boogie and a few other guys have gotten stale beyond repair. It's the same shtick over and over again.
" It will be better for the gaming ndustry without M$" People were saying the same thing after the PS3 and then that PS3 press conference came..... Be careful what you wish for.
Angry Joe is an idiot. Dude does all of these long winded rants that are hardly ever coherent and he somehow gets an audience of idiots to buy into it. Yeah they're going to break contractual agreement and come out and say it's a timed exclusive. Yup that makes a lot of sense. This isn't some new practice. Games from back in the day used to go from multiplatform back to exclusive back to multiplatform. I remember Nintendo had an exclusive Resident Evil game come out and then next ...
The Horror genre is hit or miss with me. Take games like TLOU and Alan Wake. Are those games really scary? Not really. But those games to me are better pure horror games than traditional survival horror games. I think they accomplish more. The concept of jump scaring me to oblivion got old by around 2006.
I really liked the concept of a third person Vietnam shooter. I get why they scrapped something so dark, but damn that would've been awesome. Treyarch and Infinity Ward have pull at activision so maybe someday they can bring that game back.
Sony just simply gave up on it. I remember when they first revealed this thing I was so stoked. I've ALWAYS wanted a portable system that could handle console level games on the go. That's been something I've wanted since I saw the potential of the GTA and GOW games on the PSP. Sony just refuses to put big time money into this system. Sony could've easily made up a big budget to get third party devs and split their own dev studios into 2 or three teams so each one works on a V...
I have to say as much as I hate playstation fanboys, housemarque makes some of the best shoot em up shooters in the business. Those dudes know what they're doing. If I'm Sony I'd give them a AAA budget asap.
Every thing I've seen from this game has been amazing. Everything doubters have tried to throw at this game has been proven wrong. Oh you can't use the exoskeleton or the power jumps in multiplayer. Proven wrong. Oh the graphics won't look as good as initial picture. Proven wrong. Engine is not revamped. Proven wrong. No gameplay changes. Proven wrong.
Or, you know, Square went to MS and asked for the money like Capcom did with DR3.
