It always makes me happy when young entrepreneur become multi millionaires by working hard and living out their dream. Congrats.
What Sony should just do is buy the IP from take Two and Rockstar and just give it to a new dev. At this point it's painfully obvious Rockstar doesn't want to release exclusives to any platform, so the next logical thought would be to simply take the IP and make it yourself.
Why talk about it? Rockstar just are not going to make exclusive games anymore. It's not financially feasible to put a dev on the property anymore.
It's affecting a small number of people. Everyone that I know on 360 and XB1 have been gaming all day. I just tried my XB1 with Netflix and it's running like a charm. Sorry to burst your bubble.
What does MS have to do with this? Lol you're worse than the hackers.
Wait, what? The move has zero games compatible with it and it's used simply at test showing on games at conferences that aren't even out yet and are simply test games. What are you talking about?
Sony hacked again? Say it aint so....
I don't see Rockstar making any game exclusively for anybody. And if they're contractually obligated to make one I don't see them making that game in the near future. There's obviously no time table for the game and Rockstars main studios have franchises already lined up. Best thing Sony should do is buy the IP off Rockstar and give it to a new to make it.
You don;'t know the deal that was in place. If anything they could've simply cancelled the game and gave sony an exclusive DLC or exclusive future content in place of the game. You're talking like you know the developments.
Pirating will be killed. Your system and library will constantly be connected to the internet. Your entire names collection will be scanned once you ping it and they'll see if you bought it or not. You would have to be a great hacker to bypass an always online and connected model.
They didn't show any Japanese games at gamescon.
Lost Oddyssey I believe didn't make much money. Shame cause it was a fantastic game. I doubt they ever make that game. Then again they're making Phantom Dust and that game bombed on the original Xbox.
Didn't Sony confirmed that they're not showing it at TGS?
I've never gotten the appeal of JRPG's. Just never got any excitement from playing them. The anime art style looks so silly and immature that I can't take the game seriously as an adult. The stories are often times poorly written with way too much filler in them and over the top. Also the combat in the majority of them is dreadful. There's a few Japanese made RPG's that are decent like Lost Oddysey, Demon Souls, and Persona. But the majority of them are stupid and rubbish...
And why is that? Streaming games cuts the price of playing games way down. I don't see any downside in it if the tech is there. I don't get the outrage over something like this.
I know I'd sure as hell like to just download an app or buy a 100 dollar streaming device compared to paying 400 to 500 dollars for a new console every 7 years. If it's feasible then I wouldn't mind it one bit. That would cut the cost of gaming down a lot. This gen I'll probably be spending close to 1,100 dollars just for game systems and god knows how much for games.
Not in the way Gamestop does ti. No other second hand business I know of before gamestop gave you store credit instead of cash ensuring they still get profit from the sale either way. Literally none. Gamestop's trade ins account for the large bulk of their yearly revenue.
It's good to see people like you and N4RC exist in this world. I remember Qunatic Dream did an interview saying they somehow calculated that 3 million people owned or had owned Heavy Rain and played the game meanwhile they only shipped a million units of it. Used games is a crippling practice for a lot of mid range dev studios.
Whoever came up with the idea of reselling games is genuis. Gamestop sells a retail game for 60 bucks then gives you half that amount for 30 bucks for limited time and then to 10 to 20 bucks if it's a couple months old. Best thing about this little act is that you don't get cash for the game.
Every time you trade in a game with gamestop you have to get store credit for it. Gamestop is seeing profit either way. Then when you trade in your old game for 10, 20, or 30 do...
I personally couldn't care less what any console looks like. I end up stashing it away in my entertainment center anyway. Controllers are the only design that I really care about because I look at those the majority of the time.
