Polygon is hit or miss for me as a site. I like their reviews for the most part as most of the writers outside of Arthur Gies share my tastes. This review is well written and hits on some of the things I've found troubling in my short time playing the game. Very well written and argued review. Now fix your opinion piece articles Polygon and I'll go on your site more often.
I'm a tad bit over Zombie apocalyptic games, but this one looks pretty decent.
I think the review was pretty fair. A 6/10 might be a little too harsh on it, but from reading the review I can't really call this article flaimbait or thrash it. This was a well written, well argued, thoughtful piece. N4G needs to submit more of these articles as opposed to the neckbeard flaimbait articles. I've played a tad bit of the game on a buddies PS4. About 3 hours, so my opinion should not be valued. But the story, from what I've played, is awful. No where near as interes...
Lol, Forza absolutely destroys Drive club everywhere. The content and gameplay cannot be argued. Only thing DC has the advantage in is graphics and that's cause it's a closed circuit racer opposed to an open world game with dynamic weather effects and psychics operating simultaneously.
You think this game actually looks good or on par with the other indie games confirmed for Xbox One? Super Time force just completely destroys this game from top to bottom.
Most of these games that don't come due to the parity clause are usually really awful games. The really great ones like Inside, cuphead, outlast, ect come without a problem or get ported a few months afterwards. No big deal to me. It filters the crap indie games and allows the truly great ones in. This game looks awful. If the parity clause means I'll miss out on this then so be it. I have Cup head, Ori, Below, and host of other interesting downloadable titles to choose from.
I'm sure MS is kicking themselves. I'm sure threre's millions of people looking to buy these shit indie games. I'll be playing real elite indie games like Cuphead, Ori and Below in a few months.
He does have a point to a certain extent. Spin off Xbox, make it it's own company, and essentially use the stockholders money to invest in bigger studios and run by itself. I doubt MS does this, though. Xbox is probably their most recognizable brand they've created since Windows. The acquisition of Minecraft is gigantic. If they can secure those games on PC and Xbox One only and then market the merchandise and the IP to studios, clothing, movies, ect then they could be sitting on a go...
The console is performing just in line with what the PS3 and Xbox 360 was doing last gen. I don't get these doom and gloom theories about it failing. It's essentially doing a million and a half units less than the Wiiu despite being a year behind it. The console will probably hit 7.5 to 8 million users by the end of the year and potentially 16 to 20 by next year or Q1 of 2016.
People can crap on mobile gaming all they want, but these phones are getting stronger, way more graphically enhanced, and real publishers are starting to make games for them. I predict within the next 5 years we'll have phones similar to the PSP phone Sony did years ago that double as strong mobile gaming machines.
I saw the 10 minute video of the singleplayer they put out and I was impressed. Looked sort of like Far Cry meets Battlefield meets Cops. The multiplayer didn't look that great, IMO. I don't get why people are shitting on this game so hard. The premise sounds intriguing and I can't really name that many police squad FPS's out there and the footage from the single player showed a lot of neat stuff in it. I guess when there's a narrative that something sucks people just jump...
The tea party guys are bat shit crazy. I'm not trying to get political here or crap on your party, but to defend those guys is borderline insane.
Off topic, but the handheld for me the last 20 years has not gone in the direction I've wanted and hoped it would. My dream was for handhelds to be portable consoles that could handle huge campaigns, gorgeous almost console like graphics, and big multiplayer. That has not been implemented yet and probably will never be implemented. When I first heard of the Vita I thought my dream was gonna come through, but with the lack of software coming to the console it looks like that system is just...
Fuck the PS4. PC is way better.
Who cares about DC? That game is missing so many features while we get the Crew and Project Cars.
I think it's true. RDR 3 is not GTA. VGX for the crap people gave it last year had a million people watching and that's an online show. I could see them closing out the show with it.
The industry rumor is that Rockstar will show off RDR 3 at VGX.
I hate purely stealth games. If they ever did that I'd simply stop buying them.
Does anyone know if you can save and install games on a USB flash drive on the XB1?
People keep using this tired excuse, but never EVER give proof to back up their bullshit claims that Polygon rates MS exclusives higher than any other console maker. It's a bullshit conspiracy theory that has zero merit. If you actually go through the website and look at their archives you'd see the review scores don't follow any of the agenda people like you spout.
