Really this is BS...
Last gen Sony put Blu-ray, hard drive, and cell processor in every PS3 sold.
One could argue that all three were anti-consumer... Blu-ray was not yet a worldwide standard so why was it so important? X360 shipped without a HDD and many users were fine with that, and the cell processor abnormally raised the price of the PS3.
This is definitely a game I want as soon as I get my PS4...
Probably the most important release on PS4 for me...
Façade?
Let's talk about Sony facades...
Last Guardian? How is that game doing?
Vita? There is a ton of news about Vita and hype... But, very few gamers buys it...
Sony and MS are both companies and trying to hype their offerings... They will both rape every penny they can out of you...
To think otherwise is truly showing that companies can still pull the wool over your eyes. The only people th...
If either were announced as exclusives that would be insane.
Lost Odyssey was one of the most gripping stories ever in an JRPG. Shenmue 3... Enough said!
The simple reason that sony is not doing a Kinect like device is not about anti-consumer, it is simply about cost. If they could do it for free they would've included it. No fanboy can come up with a reasonable argument on that.
Simply putting a high tech camera/mic on a console is not anti-consumer. In fact, it is pro-consumer because it adds more functionality that broadens gaming to non-gamers and helps with media functionality. That is not at all anti-consumer. <...
Yeah, the PS controller froze during a live demo at TGS and the PS nation goes "oh well"... Is that not a driver or hardware issue of some sort?
RUMORS of device driver issues on X1 goes straight to the top of the news at N4G.
Neither console will meet demand. Both vendors will sell every console they can make.
FAIL! I hate including games with no announced delivery date or quarter. Let's stick to real games, not vaporware...
For me:
Knack
Drive Club
Killzone 4

In 1990 the largest hard drives were 1 GB, CPUs were about 33 MHz, had a MB of RAM, and everyone accessed the internet via 1,200 baud modems. Now my smart phone has 32 GB of storage, a 1.6 GHz processor, 2 GB of RAM, and LTE runs circles around many wired networks.
Limitations in technology are removed all the time. To discount technology ideas because of limitations is naïve, uninformed, and just plain dumb... There are a lot of companies looking at alternate ways to...
There are very few games that are $60 a year after release digitally. And most games go on sale at some point during the year digitally. I have purchased most of the AAA games that were released last year for $19.99 or less digitally.
You don't need GPU farms... Cloud processing is about distributed, coordinated processing, it does not matter what you are processing.
It is just taking the WELL PROVEN concept of distributed processing and focusing it for real time uses on a console.
Wow.... Very slow news day...
Too bad they wouldn't think to write about the games that are coming out!
Meanwhile the controller on the PS4 froze at TGS and it was only described as an awkward moment...
What would you rather see features removed or your controller becoming unresponsive? Which one is more ready for launch?
My opinion... These things happen all the time, features are dropped, demo hardware and software have bugs... That is the way it goes in technology...
Both systems will be ready for launch!
Another "not really news article"...
Both MS and Sony will be tweaking and tuning stuff until the final possible minute before the devices and games ship.
Expect both Sony and MS to have a day one firmware upgrade (MS has already confirmed that), and every game will probably have a day one patch.
That's just how these things work...
Who cares if it is indie content or not?
Really it is about "are there great games at launch?"...
MS has announced the day one launch lineup and it is solid. A nice mix of games for everyone from core gamers to completely non-gamers.
I couldn't care less if there is an indie game in that mix.
Wow there are a lot of people in these threads that know absolutely nothing about system design and architecture.
REALITY:
We will not know which console has the better design and architecture until about year 3-5 of the generation.
The games now look good on both consoles, but outside of Killzone's AI, Forza 5's AI and physics engine and deadrising's bizillion's of zombies on screen at once there has been very little eart...
I hope their is a pay option to get the whole experience...
To me, free to play = bombard with ads, or grind until you are sick, or micro-transactions in the middle of a game. None are interesting to me.
Free to play is the worst invention in gaming ever.
Let me pay $60 and get everything without the F2P BS...
Nothing shown on the PS4 today puts it 50% faster than X1...
Both consoles have amazingly great looking games.
I play and enjoy both the PS3 and 360 consoles. I like my 360 more but I respect the exclusives Sony has...
Maybe Sony fanboys should be the same about the 360...
It would be bad for gamers if either the PS4 or X1 fail.
Sony thought they had things in the bag after the success of the PS2 and arguably released a lousy, hard to develop on, over-priced console with the PS3 ($599)... X360 humbled Sony last gen and forced them back in line with ...
Kinect has innovated a new way of playing games that was previously not possible... Virtual sports, dancing, fitness, and rail shooters genres all benefit from Kinect... Also, in core games the voice recognition that Kinect provides is many times better than a standard headset/mic.
There are many other processors that can easily beat the cell and are less costly... As witnessed by Sony's move away from cell going forward...
Blu-ray... The same thing c...
