They are probably just going to announce DLC.
A major announcement right now would have no impact as there is already a ton of hype around this game.
Honestly, looking at all four in detail I see differences, but all are perfectly playable.
I doubt gamers on any of the platforms would be unhappy with how the game looks.

No, I don't work for Ubisoft, but I am a software developer and realize that you often think you can do something, put prototypes together, but when you try the whole thing together it doesn't work out. These devts are on the leading edge of what is possible with the operating systems and consoles. When you break new ground you sometimes find things don't work out how you prototyped them.

Ubisoft had a choice... Ship a graphically detailed game with crappy frame rates or ship a less graphically detailed game with smooth frame rates... They chose frame rate over detail and every gamer should be happy with that because there is nothing I hate more than stuttering frame rates.
Honestly, I doubt there are too many X1 owners that care...

X1 sales are depressed right now because of the Titanfall bundle (Buy X1 and get Titanfall free - But it ships for March 11). Why would anyone buy a regular X1 today knowing this? I am surprised sales aren't worse.

I think that most people have been consistent that the resolution for stuff this gen should be at least 720p (At least I have). Sony's Twitch does not reach 720p...
That said, I don't think it matters for this app. And I don't know why anyone would really make a big deal about it. This site should focus more on games and less on detailed specifications of apps, consoles, etc.

How many PS4's were sold because Sony was doing everything in 1080p vs X1 at something less than 1080p? Sony was cracking 1080p jokes everywhere... It seems like a logical trade-off... SP 1080p and MP 720p. But, this is a blatant misdirection.

Nice to see the return of Rocksteady to Batman. Batman Origins was a blatant milking of the franchise Rocksteady built as evidenced by the lack of fixing game bugs.

Good sales don't necessarily equate to great titles.
That said, Shadowfall is a decent game, but I don't think its a great game. Or a system seller for that matter. It demonstrates capabilities in the PS4, but is not huge on innovation.
And Second Son will probably be much of the same.
I like Killzone and probably will like Second Son, but this is not the dream library start for most PS4 owners. We expect new IPs from Sony, not seq...
Most game developers on two to four year cycles. And most game developers probably only started on next gen consoles a year ago. That means that we will only start seeing next gen games late this year and into next year.
I don't consider any of the gameplay I've seen this gen yet next gen, and how can games like Destiny, CoD, BF, etc claim to be truly next gen when they are still shipping on current generation consoles?
