Playstation has become an icon of the industry over the past 20ish years and, not only have Sony managed to create some of the best hardware in that time, they've also created some of the greatest software. From Crash Bandicoot to multi-GOTY award winners like Uncharted, Sony have bought and paid for their spot in this industry with persistant excellence and a focus on creating great gaming experiences for their customers.
Although Sony are far from perfect they have s...

No shiznit Sherlock
Never understood why right after escaping Microsofts grip they would turn around and make their next game Xbox exclusive.
Apparently everyone is completely certain that the deal they made YEARS ago with Activision still includes this leaked requirement. They also have to get a 90+ score average and sell like 5 million copies in 6 months or something along those lines or Acti will terminate them, I mean their contract. All seems a bit ridiculous to me, but I guess Activisi...
This might mean it's a PS4 launch title!
Yeah, I made a South Park reference and people are actually critising my English down below lol.
Or maybe I'm just an idiot who actually thought seriously was spelled like that and South Park provided a fortunate scape goat for my illiteracy? Just... maybe.
I will marry the first girl who sends me one of these :)
It depends on if I feel I'm getting enough tech for my money. The PS3 was a fantastic games machine coupled with a Bluray player, which at the time were expensive, so I felt I easily got my monies worth there.
That would be awesome but let's face it, never gonna happen :(
inFamous, Uncharted, LBP, Heavy Rain, Beyond, The Last of Us, Heavenly Sword, Resistance. These are just some of the new IPs Sony has gifted us this generation and, as well as all the exciting sequels I'm looking forward to, I'm most excited about the brand new games we'll see.
They're ok I'm just not gonna let them affect my decision on which next gen machine to purchase first. I hate feeling like I'm locked into any one ecosystem and achievements are part of MS's customer hostage taking strategy, along with online fees and mii style avatars. I guess home, PS+ and trophies are Sony's.
I believe Digital Foundry have already stated that Sony's RAM choice for next-gen is superior to MS's...

4GB DDR5 > 8GB DDR3 - It's in there somewhere.
Backwards compatibility is massively overrated.
It's just too awesome.
Cerealously though, when I saw the latest crap-your-pants video and heard of the 'listening' feature I knew it was going to come under fire.
Naughty Dog have included this because its a gameplay design that fits with the thier desired feel for the game. It must enhance the experiece or they would never have included it, after all it's Naughty Dog we're talking about here.
Not everyone at home ...
I'm not arguing the inevitability of digital downloads as the future, what I'm saying is, while we still have a physical media we needn't be screwed by big companies for more cash.
Steam compensates the gamer for a lack of resalability by having reasonable prices and excellent sales. If console manufacturers can match those prices then I'm all for digital downloads, I just don't like having choice taken away from me for the sake of corporate greed.
"All hardware, software sales and charts are courtesy of VGChartz"
I wish I'd read that first.
"Every time I ask a fellow gamer if they liked Journey, inFamous, All-Stars, or Uncharted and their response is 'never heard of it,' my heart dies a little"
I try not to be a pretentious gamer geek but how much of a 'gamer' are you really if you've never heard of Uncharted? Uncharted was also advertised decently and featured in a Kev Butler ad among its own stuff.
Journey was a low budget indie game that rose in popularity w...
I'm not sure it's a matter of just merging departments together. It's more likely that the different laws in countries make it difficult to get the 'all clear' to lauch products/services. So Sony has opted to bring things out when and where they can rather than hold off on various government approval.
What irks me most about the apparent divide in PSN regions is the release dates and the feeling that maybe a different region is getting more exciting thi...
We need to make a stand as consumers and just say no to this. Taking away even that small part of our right to do what we want with our own game, which we purchased with our own hard earned cash, is a line that no company should cross.
No boycott in the history of gaming has ever really worked so I'm not expecting a boycott on this to work either. I just want people to stop and think about their own rights and question whether they are willing to part with those right...
This.
Let's face it, the people queing at midnight for new consoles are the gamers and tech nuts. Multimedia apps won't impress them as much as MS seem to think, greats games will. If MS can muster up something new and exciting in gaming then the core crowd that bought into 360 at the beginning of this generation will be less inlclined to abandon ship.
So far we have little to no clue as what they have in store but rumors would suggest a focus o...
"Microsoft's Xbox division has been 'coasting' in the last five years on perceived success, when really that's just been 'your competitor's stumbling failure', jabbed Brown. Preaching the entertainment-hub message is fine - the original Xbox was intended as Microsoft's 'Trojan horse' way into the living room - but not while 'their home town is on fire'"
It's harsh but true, only the most adamant MS fanboy could d...
