First of all I resent the implication that I am a "Nintendo Hater" and secondly Digital Foundry are normally VERY good at what they do and I doubt that they deliberately created a misleading article to bait fanboys. If DF have made mistakes in their findings we're sure to hear about it in a future article but, for now, it's the only professional analysis we have.
Now, if you'd kindly remove yourself from my throat, which you seem to have jumped down, ...
If it has eight ARM processors then maybe :P
Didn't Digital Foundry already settle this?

There's no justifying this, it would be a huge mistake and one that would herald MS's exit from the videogame industry; if not from fan backlash then from retailer alienation.
It's a money grab plain and simple, I will NOT support a company that restricts the consumer at this level.
Ballmer is frickin evil in that pic lol.
I would take Sony's arm off for that price.
Or... or.. you know... it could be...

Apple may have aquired Siri tech but you think they just left it alone when they got it? I still see no evidence to back up your original comment that MS put more investment into voice tech than Apple.
I agree that Google have the better voice tech and are probably market leaders in that area, thanks for that link. However MS aquiring Tellme is no different than Apple aquiring Siri, except that MS have only Kinect voice to show for it and Apple have Siri, which is the shi...
Congratulations, you managed to turn a positive Sony article into...
"ner ner MS makes more profits!"
...without either using any backed up numbers or getting marked for stealth trolling, I tip my hat to you sir.
Apple's Siri is one of the best developed commercially available speech recognition systems on a consumer device and it's still pretty crap. I highly doubt MS has put in the massive investment necessary to improve on it.
edit: @below Those kind of demonstrations rarely translate to real world application because the conditions in which its works onstage do not reflect real life. I still have my doubts that MS put more money into this sort of research than Apple, ...
The question you need to ask is, which company is more likely to actually follow through with it?
PS4 is a wizard and as we all know...
A wizard is never late, nor is he early, he arrives precisely when he means to.
OK so IF developers decide to use this then games will be better? Great :)
You just have consider how big of an IF it actually is. If mutli-plat devlopers need to do extra work on the next box to get games running parallel to PS4 than MS could find themselves in a similar situation to PS3 in 2006-8/9ish.
"With Tess and Ellie taking up the rear, I quietly entered..."
I spat my juice out laughing at this point, sorry that's so immature.
On topic, it's really looking like Naughty Dog have captured the true spirit of survival horror, can't wait until May.
It sounds awfully familiar to the PS3 SPU thing, where GPU work was offloaded onto the cell. This meant that 3rd party devs making multi-plat games never truly tapped into the power of the PS3 due to the extra work involed in SPU use.
Looks like MS might be making a similar mistake, although I'll admit I'm not 100% certain what all this means.
$14.79 Billion of that was for premium DLC, which was already on the disc.
They made ads for BBC iPlayer, I think named 'touch the stars', which featured Ricky Gervais.

The thing is, with win 8 taking up so much of 'nextbox' CPU (rumored 2 cores) and RAM (rumored 2GB) it may mean that apps run better but at a huge cost to game performance.
Personally, I'm agaisnt this.
While I've not really had an interest in this game myself, I've been told it's quite good.
Some games just don't seem to sell at a really high number regardless of their level of quality, I wouldn't call that "failed".
Unless we see a WiiU RROD, I'd say yes.
Seriously though, there are some quality games out already and with the promise of HD Mario Kart and Zelda I'm tempted to buy one myself.
