Ok, to anyone who seriously thinks that GT5 is breeding REAL RACE CAR DRIVERS: Stop eating Acid tabs for lunch.
The Polyphony/sony/GT5/driving challenge thing is a marketing ploy...and apparently a brilliant one at that, because many people seem to think that once you play enough GT5, it's so real that driving an actual 170 mph lap in a Zonda C10 will become like second nature to you. Do you really think they just pluck any old gamer off his/her couch and stick them ...
It looks like a rail shooter. Does it move the character around for you and you just point your finger and shoot like you were a 6 yr old playing cowboys and indians with your grandmother?
IMO, this is where Kinect will absolutely fail for the core crowd it seems to be trying to target. shooting with your fingers is LAME. I'm sorry, but it just IS!
MS needs to learn From the PS Move and develope some peripherals along the lines of the Sharpshoote...
One of my favorite games this gen was the sequel, "bloodshot." Being chased by that giant black bear in the cabin was one of the scariest/most heart pounding videogame chase sequences ever! ..and I remember the on screen prompt readinf "run for your life!" Or something to that effect.
I definitley think there is a leap between FM3 and FM4. I've been playing the FM4 demo for most of the evening and the lighting alone looks much better than FM3. I'm a cockpit driver, and the interiors on the cars in the demo look fantastic.
Can't wait for this game to drop next week!
I haven't played on caspian border yet, but battlefield was never about ranking up quickly to me. Don't get me wrong, unlockin stuff for the kits is addictive, but I'd rather just enjoy a giant map that feels like all out war. I played the bigger maps in BFBC2 luke harvest day and heavy metal quite a bit. If you really wanna rank up fast you could always try that "other" military shooter game.. ;) "SUPER AWESOME SEARGEANT MAJOR AWESOME PERSON!!" Haha..
I've also noticed all the glitches and bugs y'all mentioned above ^^^^ (currently playing on ps3, but I plan to download the 360 version after work)
But two other things that drive me nuts are the enormous amount of sway when your aiming down the sights and you turn left or right. If you have an airsoft weapon around (preferably an assault rifle or something with a shoulder stock), try aiming down the sights while moving around your house.. You can do it without ma...
I disagree that the beta was dissapointing, but I totally agree with your avatar. Jimi is my Jesus!!
maxmill-I hate to tell ya, but the Ps3 version doesn't seem to be using the "power of the cell" either my friend. I'm saying that as someone who currently has early access on ps3..
I'll judge the 360 version for myself when the open beta drops tomorrow, but from what I've experienced firsthand with the ps3 beta, and from what I've read/seen about the xbox version it seems that they both have the same graphical issues.
In my ...
uncharted56
thanks man. I didn't know that they scaled down the graphics that much for a beta, but I feel much better knowing that it won't look as it does upon final release.
Other than that, I didn't notice any lag issues or hit detection issues (which I've also heard complaints about). I did happen to fall through the floor of the map once or twice and on one of the grassy knolls outside of the metro area was vibrating/tremoring when I was in...
The game plays very well and is loads of fun, even with only one map and one game type. My only concern is that, graphically, it seems very far behind some of the console multiplat benchmarks for graphics this generation. Of course we knew it would look NOWHERE NEAR as amazing as the PC version, but with a new game engine and given that BFBC2 looked great on consoles, I was a bit surprised to find low texture resolutions in many places, last-gen looking character models, and jaggies everywh...
OK... so... anyone wanna talk about Battlefield 3, or do y'all just wanna keep bashing each other's platform of choice and compare everyhting to Gears 3, Killzone, and Uncharted?
Fu*kin N4G... gotta love to hate it!
"If you haven't noticed I'm pretty much a rabit pc fanboy(maybe even the worst on this site) and try to downplay consoles in ANY way I can but even I can see the massive difference between gears 2 and gears 3 and admit it.."
See, right there I thought you were going to reform your senseless ways... but then you wrote the rest of that post.
I truly don't get your need to bash or "downplay" consoles. There isn't a consol...
I'm surprised the author didn't get annoyed with the knifing controls. the fact that it's LB/L2 instead of a click on the analog stick... oh and the fact that in Battlefield you can't knife people from 15 feet away!
I agree about FPS games on the ps3 controller.. Mostly i think its that the small bumper buttons (L1/R1) are the aim and shoot buttons and the big meaty TRIGGERS (I have the trigger extensions)...well they just throw grenades?
I also Have been playing the beta on ps3, and just to use the spotting feature is a pain in the a** because you'r thumb needs to do gymnastics over the left analog stick to reach the select button, which means that, unlike with the 360 controller,...
Go home troll. Or rather.. shouldn't you be in school? it's a wednesday? Might wanna run to class before your mommy finds out you're skipping school.
Seriously, someone needs to create a gaming news website/forum for toddlers and children under 14, so that people like lala_zero can join up and spout all sorts of immature statements there instead of here.
@admiralthrawn - I agree that it looks worse than BC2.. And I've been playing BC2 for a while non-stop recently since I've been so pumped for BF3. I play BC2 on 360, but I played MoH on ps3, so I have the ps3 BF3 beta. I'm honestly shocked by the graphics. The gameplay is great and the action is tight, but to me the graphics resemble Medal of Honor, rather than Bad Co. 2..
People disagree with me when I say this, but I actually thought BC2 was a fantastic lo...
says the guy with one bubble. Why bother to comment?
Ugh! Alan wake's ending was like the season finale of "Lost." All that gameplay just to get to the credits and go "huh?? Wait..what??"
Also, the ending of Deus Ex:HR was pretty bad--because then the game was OVER!! haha, jk.. I didn't have problems with then ending of Deus Ex:HR, story wise, I just didn't want the game to end because its an amazing suck-you-in kind of game that you don't want to put down! Looking forward to the upcomi...
NO!! And I'm still wondering why!? 48 hour early access for folks like you and I is NOW.
I bought MoH on the Ps3 back when it came out last october.. registered my online pass and all.. I don't understand.
I did hear that they are staggering the release of Beta keys to reduce server stress and prevent the servers from crashing, but still... I'm worried they forgeot about me! haha
.. They should be hated daily! Again, just my opinion, but those artists aren't musicians or entertainers.. they are PRODUCTS. they are generated by giant corporations who study demographics and target audiences and then thrive on homogeny in the entertainment industry. People like the artists you mentioned are groomed and made up to sell music that they probably didn't even write, because they have that certain "something" that brings in dollar signs, whether its looks, ...
