Regarding the campaign of BF3, I agree that the campaign in BC2 was more engaging (thanks to characters we actually cared about and a touch of humor).
As far as Multiplayer is concerned, I'm LOVING BF3 just as much as BC2, if not even a bit more. Just the little things like being able to select your fire rate depending on the distance of the engagemnt, or being able to adjust your loadout on the fly during respawns to adapt to any battlefield situation. Agreed. I did the same thing. But too many gamers these days are so concerned with brand loyalty to these giant mega corporations like MS and Sony, that they cant see past their own nose to actually realize the advantages/disadvantages of each console. They don't realize that to achieve the best gaming experience, its better to own as many gaming platforms as possible, because to them, their console of choice can do no wrong. that's what makes them fanboys.
To the XBOTS: Stop acting like exclusives are nothing special. Look at how amazing Forza 4 and Gears 3 turned out. If there were more studios making exclusives for the 360 there would at least be (in theory, anyway) more top quality games for that system, where developers had utilized the 360's strength to optimize a game. I totally agree. Idiots are everywhere in this world, and I've come across plenty of them in Battlefield and Forza lobbies also... But this type of ignorant immature behavior seems to be especially rampant in Call of Duty games, more so than in other games I play online. At least that's my observation.
Yea, congrats for that dude! lol! I was hoping they'd unlock the co-op weapons as part of some future DLC pack, but I guess I lucked out.
I also noticed the problem with squads and invites is still there. I was playing with 3 people in my Xbox Live party last night and upon entering the first match together, it STILL managed to put two of us on one team and one on the other...
Can anyone else confirm that they now also have all the co-op weapons unlocked, since downloading the maps and the patch?
Played on the new maps for quite some time last night and as I went to switch up a class between deaths, I noticed that the M93 Raffica pistol was available in my sidearm selection menu. I then checked other classes and, sure enough, ALL the co-op weapons are available to me, but the person in my squad did not have any co-op weapons unlocked at all??

I think the most EPIC fail is the CoD online community itself, not the game. After playing each iteration of that game extensively online (althought MW3 a lot less than others as it's been out a month and Battlefield 3 has been keeping me far more engaged), I learned a few things about people:
1). There is no hope for our youth.
2). Racism and homophobia are alive and well
3). Meatheads and children are a bad combonation in a multiplayer game.
I disagreed. Not because it sucks for PC gamers that they won't get a version on their platform, because that does suck for many gamers. I disagree that the Xbox version will be "half assed." Most mutiplats are developed on 360 and then ported to ps3, which unfortunatley actually means the ps3 version may possibly be surpassed by the Xbox version. Ya know what? Benn playin BF3 since release day.. I even took time off from work that week to play it. This weekend I was out Christmas shopping and I finally caved and bought MW3.. for myself.

But, yes BF3 has it's share of glitches as well..but it just so happens to be the better game so nobody whines about it.
I don't know much about hacks on consoles, but I do know I've played every CoD since CoD4 on Xbox 360, and I can tell you that people pull some shady shit in those matches. The proof is in the replay camera after your killed.. aimbots, recoil-less shooting. None of those things are enabled by unlocks or perks..

Good. The Survival Horror genre hasn't received much attention lately, especially since most developers have set aside a good chuck of their time in recent years trying to creat the next best FPS. Now bring us some scary sh*t.

Black Ops was my favorite since COD4, simply because of the freedom of customization, and the instant gratification of being able to purchase any, perk, upgrade, and attatchments you wanted for a gun as soon as you unlocked it. I was never a fan of the "kill X amount of people for unlock this attatchment" that IW does and Treyarch did with WaW. I also thought the maps were better, and I really enjoyed the wager matches and their unique game types.

Not sure if it won GOTY, but it COD4 was nominated at some point because My copy is the GOTY edition that came with a map pack.

Haven't played Gears, Portal, or Skyrim, but I have played (almost finished with actually, just gotta kill Marlow I think) Uncharted 3, and as much as I love it, I don't think it's a GOTY contender either. Uncharted 2? Hell yes. Absolutley deserved the GOTY it received. But UC3 really only improved on UC2 in terms of some graphical enhancements and slightly re-vamped hand-to-hand combat mechanics. You want an honest answer? I purchase ANY game that is going to give me a good portion of it's value from multiplayer for my Xbox 360, over my ps3.

Maybe just stick with SR then. When all the games in one genre emulate the most popular game in that genre all we wind up with is a true masterpiece and a slew of half assed clones. GTA4 took the franchise to a more serious and dramatic place for its storytelling, and I think it should stay there. Saints row can continue to provide more of a well done, fun game that doesn't take itself too seriously instead of a masterpiece of a story. That way all open-world crime life fans can be happy....
