Its pretty awesome that 90% of you didn't read the article, but rather read the headline and instantly made your list of upcoming games in 2012 that will not make it a "boring" year for gaming. Also awesome is the fact that most of your lists name off mostly prequels, sequels, threequels, and new iterations of existing franchises which was the whole entire point the author was making about 2012: That new IP's appear to be slim on the horizon. The author was using the the t...
hey @itsallgud, are you Trollboxing? I haven't seen Gears 3 in action yet so I can't say for sure, but before you say "best console graphics" you better have a look at Uncharted 3 and Forza 4...
Speaking of Forza 4, I would think that should be on the list of 'must-have's for the Holidays. After all, Ive never heard of a "top 9," It ususally is a top 10, so maybe they just forgot number 10 ;)
I'm an upset gamer because the giant faceless megacorporation that I blindly defend with my heart and soul has been singled out by a competitors website that claims one my beloved platform exclusives was an "overhyped stinker." Who does this website think they are???
Well they can call Resistance 3 a stinker all they want, because if they actually owned a ps3, they would know that it turns all normal BluRay and DVD-R discs into 14 karat gold upon insertion int...
Yea but Homefront was also a multiplat, so you would expect it to sell more than R3. A game that releases across 2 or 3 platforms obviously is going to outsell a game that is only available on one console.
@SkylerB,
If you were a fan of the original Driver games on ps/ps2, the car handling and driving action will feel like a old familiar pair of comfortable sweatpants. In terms of kicking up nostalgic gameplay with pretty decent graphics, Driver San Francisco accomplished this. Where it went of the rails was its ludicrous story line and the ability to swap into other drivers minds to control their vehichle. This for me, was silly and immersion breaking. I think you can find the gam...
^^ fixed article title ^^
.. and it doesn't matter what system(s) you own. Sorry to say that today it seems that 80% of us gamers have nerd rage over things we don't like in our games, or things we find un-cool in the gaming industry. We log onto internet sites like N4G and complain about graphics, gameplay, what developers "should've done instead," which system is better, why charging us money is unfair, console system updates, what we are getting for...
It doesn't matter.. I bought an arcade and had to buy a HDD to save more than one game. Especially after you DL all the system updates like Netflix, the media player, and the marketplace install, you'll have (maybe) enough room to set up ONE game save. The Arcade system is pretty useless without an HDD attatched.
Exactly. The IRNV is good at locating enemy positions through the dust, smoke, and the snipers camping in the woods and bushes. But it takes mastery of using the scope before you can be effective with it for all the X-factors you mentioned, like using controlled bursts and holding down the analogue stick to reduce sway.
I'm afraid DICE will nerf everything to appease fans. My only issue with that, is that given the marketing hype leading up to it's release and ...
The next gen will make it more expensive to be a gamer. Systems will cost more than they do now, as MS, Sony, and Nintendo will justify the $600 and up price tags with their claims of how expensive the technology inside the machines cost. Most next-gen games will retail for $70 and will contain brief single player campaigns topping out at 1-3 hours of gameplay. If you didn't buy the game used, you can activate your online pass to play the multilpayer portions of these games, which is a...
Part of the problem is that DICE appears to be attempting to appease fans by addressing every single complaint about balance and "over/under powered" weapons. While this is actually a refreshing and somewhat welcome attitude, as it's good to see a developer really listening to community feedback and trying to create the best experience possible for thier users. BUT... what DICE is forgetting is that today online gamers who aren't competitive with a certain weapon, tactic, p...
I agree with logicwins ^^^^^^
I think Max Payne is scheduled for March '12 release. If that's true I doubt Rockstar would want to release GTA5 only one month following, chancing an eclipse of Max Payne's sales.
I wonder if the F-34S will be flown like the other jets in the game.
Will we be able to utilize the V/STOL capabilities of this aircraft and hover over areas of the map to provide fire support like a chopper does? That would be friggin awesome!
@ Killzone3Helgast
In this thread it's all about BF3. Nobody here cares about your garbage bubblegum Lady GaGa shit.
Eff off
When your fighting relentless hordes of enemies in hand-to-hand combat, in a videogame, what's more intuitive than mashing buttons??
To say that Arkham City is "outdated" also says the same for Uncharted, Assasin's Creed, Gears of war, and other 3rd person action games. They're all accomplishing the same gameplay mechanics and haven't changed much since the beginning of this generation. I don't see how a game like Arkham City is "outdate...
Why all the worry? I would have no problem with a dead space FPS. They were great 3rd person action games, and I'm sure the survival horror vibe would extend to the more immersive 1st person view.
I HATE that everyone keeps comparing SR and GTA IV!!! If you didn't like the reaslistic awesomeness of GTA IV, guess what?? YOU DON"T HAVE TO PLAY IT!!!
Why is it when there are two franchises that do different things within the same genre, everyone starts crying out for homogeny and assimilation of the two.. "we'll game A should do this so it can be more like game B." WHY???
The fact that SR3 and GTA IV are both modern day open-world crime/...
While I understand that your opinion is "your opinion", it remains 100% factually incorrect.
If your comment was just mean as sarcasm, "ha ha." carry on then..
I really think that the reason CoD sells as well as it does is because of the heavy social component of the online multiplayer. I think many people just simply buy it because all of their friends own it, and they feel the pressure of being the only one in their social circle without the one game that EVERYONE is playing.
And to edit the title of the article a bit, I'd counterpoint that "Just because everyone likes a game, does't mean that game is good." I...
I care, for what its' worth :)
The change in shooting mechanics is the first thing i noticed in UC 3. It's not "bad" per-se, just feels a little sluggish... and that twin reticule that some guns have with that little circle movinga round inside the big circle when Drake turns while aiming.. I'm not finished with UC3's campaign yet, but so far it's been just as awesome as I possible couldve expected. With this update to tweak the gunplay to fe...
hahahahaha! Juging by your disagrees, I guess you're correct. That score must not be valid from a non-sony fanboy website! ;)
Stupid N4G...smh
